The position will conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence and uncover facts related to various cases or assigned projects.\nResponsibilities\nRepresent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.\nIndependently develop and execute appropriate investigation strategies for assigned investigations.\nObtain and verify evidence by interviewing, conducting covert surveillance, and/or using open-source and database information on suspects and witnesses.\nExamine records/data, gather evidence, classify and differentiate investigative elements.\nMaintain proper evidence chain of custody.\nAssist in identifying trends and recommend corrective action to the client.\nConduct security risk assessments, workplace violence activities, and crisis interventions.\nComplete investigative reports thoroughly and professionally.\nEstablish partnerships and collaborate with other departments.\nTestify at hearings and legal proceedings as needed.\nServe as the liaison between the client and Pinkerton to ensure all inquiries/concerns are addressed in a confidential and appropriate manner.\nAll other duties, as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a security-related field with three to five years of experience as an Investigator in either the private or public sector. Pinkerton is an inclusive employer that seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.\nWorking knowledge of link analysis tools.\nExperience with leak investigations.\nIdentify process gaps and security vulnerabilities and develop plans/SOPs to mitigate issues.\nWorking knowledge of criminal law and criminal justice rules of evidence pertaining to theft/fraud and misappropriation issues.\nHands-on knowledge of current federal/state laws governing investigations, evidence collection and handling, civil and criminal proceedings.\nEffective independent judgment/decision-making and problem-resolution skills.\nAble to prepare accurate, clear, and concise reports.\nEffective written, verbal, and presentation skills.\nAble to interact effectively at all levels, including management and across diverse backgrounds.\nAble to prioritize and complete multiple assignments simultaneously while preserving the integrity of the investigation process.\nServe as an effective team member.\nMaintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.\nComputer skills;
