(80%)\nEngage in client-facing meetings and discovery processes to gain insight into client messaging goals. (10%)\nProvide timely edits and review written content from other staff writers across teams while maintaining deadlines. (10%)\nSupport PR Team with additional editing and written communication as needed.\nSkills & Qualifications\nRequired\n1-2 years professional writing experience.\nAbility to synthesize and translate information into persuasive arguments.\nAbility to work on tight deadlines and balance multiple projects across several diverse clients.\nAbility to provide and receive editorial feedback on writing from Editors, Staff Writers, PR Staff and clients.\nWillingness to collaborate across teams to ensure quality output.\nInitiative to self-start and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced, creative environment.\nComfortable collaborating closely with a small team of public relations professionals.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAlignment with Pinkston’s guiding principles.\nResearch skills; familiarity with AP Style. \nUndergraduate degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, or related field.\nPreferred\nBackground in or familiarity with journalism and media.\nFamiliarity with and interest in current events.\nExperience with Slack & Google Workspace.\nWho We Are\nPinkston is a strategic communications firm that builds world-changing outcomes for its clients and their communities.
