Our platforms enable product teams to reach users with the right message at the right time across channels (push, email, in-app, etc.) safely and at scale.\nWhat you’ll do: \nShape the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for the Notifications & Growth Platform org, aligning architecture and execution plans to Pinterest’s engagement and retention goals.\nLead cross-functional delivery of end-to-end solutions by partnering with Product, Data Science, Design, and engineering teams to ship notifications, in-app growth experiences, and internationalized (i18n) experiences for global markets.\nMake durable architectural decisions that improve delivery quality, reliability, and scalability of Pinterest’s notifications and growth systems (e.g., orchestration, targeting hooks, scheduling, and multi-channel delivery).\nDefine success metrics and operating cadence (e.g., engagement lift, delivery success, latency, reliability, cost, adoption) and drive measurable improvements aligned to org OKRs.\nUse AI to accelerate your work across exploration, drafting, analysis, and synthesis-while maintaining strong judgment, rigorous validation, and accountability for outcomes.\nWhat we’re looking for:\n10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful time as a Staff, Senior Staff, or equivalent-level IC building and operating complex production systems.\nExperience building or partnering on ML-, AI-, or GenAI-adjacent systems, with a pragmatic understanding of where these technologies add value and how to deploy them responsibly.\nProven technical leadership: driving architecture across multiple services/teams and delivering org-critical initiatives.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nNotifications and growth platform experience is a strong plus.\nAble to dive into data and identify opportunities to drive user growth is a strong plus.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.\nRelocation Statement: \nThis position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
