The Blender is responsible for the quality of blends, accurate completion of all paperwork, sanitation of blender and blending area, and meeting all sample analysis requirements.\n\nResponsibilities:\nVerify all the raw materials are present and accurate in terms of quantity and lot information before starting the blending process\nAdd each raw material in the specified order according to the blending instructions\nDischarge materials and powders into suitable containers and document the process\nFollow all blending instructions\nCommunicates and works together with QA to maintain all standards and practices of the food industry in accordance with FDA and State regulations\nMaintain a safe and clean working environment at all times\nComply and adhere to all GMP’s policies\nAccurately measure conversions and ingredients\nClean and sanitize all equipment according to GMP standards\nAdditional duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalency preferred\n1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment with blending powdered food or liquid materials\nAbility to use calculator and other measurement instruments\nBasic computer skills a plus\nFlexibility for overtime when needed\nMust be able to read/write English\nAbility to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely\nMust comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training\n\nRole’s Physical Requirements:\nMust be able to lift 50lbs\nWork environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).\nAbility to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours\n\nWe proudly offer: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Company Match, Pet insurance and more!\nWe reward the hard work of our team members with fun and exciting company events, Summer Picnic, Festive Packages, Holiday Celebrations, and associate referral bonuses!\nFounded in 2011, Piping Rock Health Products has gone on to win Long Island’s Top Workplaces Award 7 years in a row & securing the spot as Top Supplement Manufacturing Company 2024 by Food Business Review!
