In this role, you’ll work closely with the VP of Engineering and plant leadership to ensure operational efficiency and equipment reliability across the facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineering professional with a strong mechanical background, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic production environment.\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor, maintain, and troubleshoot all plant equipment (e.g., HVAC, boilers, compressors) for optimal performance and uptime\nCollaborate with the Plant Manager and department supervisors to drive efficiency across operations\nDevelop procedures and preventive maintenance tasks with maintenance teams for all site equipment\nEnsure all preventive maintenance (PM) work orders are completed accurately and on time\nIdentify opportunities to enhance plant performance and recommend process improvements\nTrain plant personnel on safety protocols and quality control (QC) compliance procedures\nReview project plans and timelines; monitor budgets and offer recommendations\nAdapt plans as necessary by interpreting developments and providing clear direction\nEnsure compliance with FDA, GMP, SOP, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations\nAnalyze work order data and machine downtime trends to improve equipment uptime\nConduct facility safety audits and verify machinery meets safety standards\nSupport operational plans for renovation, construction, maintenance, and machine installation projects\nPerform other engineering-related duties and special projects as assigned\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering\nUp to 4 years of related engineering or plant maintenance experience\nProficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to create technical drawings\nHands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment\nFamiliarity with maintenance tracking software and systems\nStrong quantitative and analytical skills\nExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable in a production setting\nWe proudly offer: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Company Match, Pet insurance and more!\nWe reward the hard work of our team members with fun and exciting company events, Summer Picnic, Festive Packages, Holiday Celebrations, and associate referral bonuses!\nFounded in 2011, Piping Rock Health Products has gone on to win Long Island’s Top Workplaces Award 7 years in a row & securing the spot as Top Supplement Manufacturing Company 2024 by Food Business Review!
