safety culture across the business.\nReporting to the HSE manager you will have the opportunity to promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the Carlisle site and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nThe role will provide professional advice and practical support to managers on all areas of health, safety, environmental management and risk reduction, ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to.\nRole Responsibilities\nEnsuring that HSE management system requirements are implemented and maintained in accordance with the ISO14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 specification\nProduce reports of the HSE Management Systems for review by management as a basis for improvement\nProvide advice and guidance to managers and employees on health and safety legislation, standards and best practice\nConduct workplace inspections, internal and external audits and behavioural safety observations across the site\nAssist with risk assessments, safe systems of work and method statements, ensuring they remain current and effective\nTrack and monitor corrective actions to ensure timely completion\nMonitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with site safety requirements\nMonitor environmental performance and compliance with permits, licences and regulatory requirements\nSupport initiatives aimed at reducing waste generation, energy consumption and emissions\nMonitor changes in UK health, safety and environmental legislation and communicate relevant information to the wider business\nEnsure all accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences are investigated fully by the relevant person to determine the root cause and ensure actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence\nMaintain records relating to accidents, incidents, training, inspections and audits\nNotify the relevant enforcing authority of any reportable accident/incident\nLiaise with Milan in relation to accidents/incidents \nAnnual analysis of accident/incident data to target improvements and reduce occurrence\nPlanning and delivery of all relevant HSE training for employees\nMaintaining liaisons with official and professional bodies, e.g. Health and Safety Commission and Executive, Local Authorities, I.O.S.H. & Environmental Health\nKeeping the Company up to date with recommended Codes of Practice and new Safety & Environment literature and posters and circulating information applicable to each level of employee\nParticipation in site Management/Operative discussions on injury, damage, waste control & environmental matters\nFostering on site an understanding of injury prevention, damage & impact control as an integral part of business and operational efficiency\nLiaising with the insurance company with respect to ongoing claims and preparing any required documentation\nSupport occupational health programmes, health surveillance activities and provide support on any work-related health issues and capability matters\nSupport wellbeing initiatives that contribute to employee health and engagement\nPromotion of a positive HSE culture across the site\nSupport HSE Manager to keep the self-assessment and management plan up to date and adding new items for investment as required\nWillingness to travel and work in other Pirelli sites on an occasional basis\nCarrying out other duties as may be reasonably requested by the department manager\nRequired Qualifications and Aptitudes\n\nEducation\nEssential:\nRelevant degree or equivalent experience\nNEBOSH General Certificate or willingness to work towards within an agreed timescale\nPreferred:\nNEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety\nSkills and Aptitudes\nRelevant industrial experience in a Health and Safety role\nGood understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation\nExperience conducting incident/accident investigations and risk assessments\nExperience of carrying out workplace inspections and audits\nStrong communication and influencing skills\nA sound problem-solving ability\nGood working knowledge of MS Office packages including excel, word and PowerPoint\nFlexibility to attend site as required in event of an emergency or other critical situation\nSelf-motivated, focused and able to work on own initiative\nHigh level of resilience and able to work effectively under pressure.\nWillingness to undertake training and put this into
