This role is responsible for maintaining reliable infrastructure, supporting day-to-day operations, contributing to projects, and ensuring that systems remain secure, available and well documented.\nCandidate Profile\nWe are looking for candidates who bring strong technical depth, a collaborative working style and the ability to adapt quickly to changing technology needs.\nStrong hands-on experience in Wintel administration.\nPractical knowledge of VMware, HCI and enterprise infrastructure operations.\nWillingness to learn and adopt new technologies.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nCommitment to quality, ownership and continuous improvement.\nKey Qualifications\nDesired profile: VMware and Windows Server Administration.\nPrimary skills: VMware Administration at L2/L3 level.\nEducation: Any undergraduate degree in any specialization.\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal English skills.\nWork style: Self-motivated, organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.\nRole Responsibilities\nThe Windows System Administrator will work within a corporate IT operations organization as a VMware/HCI administrator. The role includes maintaining and updating VMware environments in line with standards, supporting operational demand in a cost-effective manner, assisting project delivery, and providing reports and metrics for operations analysis and capacity planning.\nRequired Skills\nAdminister VMware ESX/ESXi 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 and 8.0 environments using vSphere.\nImplement, administer and document VMware and HCI technologies.\nSupport VMware capabilities including vMotion, HA, DRS, HCI/VCF, vSAN, affinity rules, vCenter, storage migrations and P2V migrations.\nProvide 24x7 operational support for incidents and work requests across multiple data centers and VMware ESX/Nutanix environments.\nOptimize VMware environments for SAN storage, thin provisioning, resource pools, host profiles and EMC plug-ins.\nWork with enterprise network and storage technologies, including FC SAN, iSCSI and 10Gb networks.\nCreate, migrate, clone, back up, recover and troubleshoot virtual machines.\nPerform system maintenance, patching, upgrades, health checks, performance tuning and troubleshooting.\nCreate and maintain accurate, high-quality technical documentation.\nManage templates, VM deployments, configurations, ESX host LUN assignments and Virtual Center database administration.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot ESX server environments, including snapshot creation and recovery.\nApply ITIL practices for incident, problem and change-related activities.\nManage Active Directory environments, including user accounts, groups, permissions, security policies and access audits.\nCollaborate with IT teams to integrate Active Directory with other systems and applications.\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with HP/Dell server hardware.\nWorking knowledge of VMC on AWS and Nutanix environments.\nKnowledge of VMware Site Recovery Manager and replication.\nUnderstanding of AD service concepts, configuration, management, monitoring and reporting.\nAbility to work with project teams to build new application environments while maintaining security and system standards.\nExperience in incident management, system failure analysis, recovery and environment stability.\nProblem management skills, including root-cause analysis, solution development and issue resolution.\nPrinterLogic administration, print issue troubleshooting, user training and print usage analysis.\nScripting skills, including PowerShell and VSHELL, for automation tasks.\nRemote Desktop Services administration, configuration, security and end-user support.\nGood to Have\nExperience with cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.\nKnowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk and vROps.\nExperience with Snowflake Administration or other cloud-based platforms.\nWork Schedule and Support Expectations\nRotational shifts are required.\nWeekend on-call support is expected approximately once per month.\nPublic holiday on-call support is rotational.\nPreferred Certifications\nVMware certification.\nAWS certification.\nAzure certification.\nAbout Pitney Bowes\nPitney Bowes is a global shipping and mailing company that provides technology, logistics and financial services to clients around the world.
