This role establishes a scalable, secure, and governed foundation for data and AI, enabling the organization to deliver measurable business outcomes through advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI.\nThe role acts as the design authority for AI and data platforms-ensuring alignment across business priorities, technology architecture, data governance, and AI capabilities-while driving consistency, reuse, and speed of delivery across the enterprise.\nYou Will\n1. Enterprise AI & Data Strategy\nDefine and own the enterprise AI and data architecture roadmap\nAlign AI and data initiatives with business strategy and value realization\nEstablish standards for scalable, reusable AI and data capabilities\nServe as a trusted advisor to CIO and business leadership on AI strategy\n2. Data Architecture & Platform Leadership\nDesign and implement a modern enterprise data architecture (lakehouse / mesh / hybrid models)\nDefine enterprise-wide:Data models and canonical schemas\nMetadata, lineage, and data catalog strategy\nData integration and interoperability patterns\n\nLead the development of a centralized, scalable data platform\n3. AI Platform & Engineering Enablement\nEstablish enterprise AI/ML platform capabilities (MLOps / LLMOps)\nEnable consistent model lifecycle management:Data ingestion → model training → deployment → monitoring\n\nStandardize tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure for AI delivery\nDrive adoption of production-grade AI patterns vs. experimental silos\n4. Data Governance, Quality & Ownership\nDefine and enforce data governance framework beyond regulatory minimums\nClarify data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models\nEstablish enterprise standards for:Data quality\nMaster data management\nData lifecycle management\n\nResolve fragmentation and enable a single, trusted data foundation\n5. Responsible AI & Risk Management\nEmbed responsible AI practices (transparency, fairness, explainability)\nEnsure alignment with regulatory and internal policy requirements\nPartner with security and risk leaders to:Mitigate AI-related risks\nProtect sensitive data and models\nEstablish security standards for data and AI\n\nEstablish auditability and controls for AI systems\n6. Architecture Governance & Standards\nServe as the enterprise authority for AI and data architecture decisions\nDefine reference architectures, patterns, and reusable components\nLead architecture reviews for:Major data platforms\nAI-enabled applications\n\nEnsure consistency across business units and technology teams\n7. Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence\nPartner with Engineering, Product, Security, and Operations teams\nEnable federated adoption model (central platform, distributed execution)\nBuild and mentor a high-performing team of architects and engineers\nDrive collaboration through AI councils, governance forums, and working groups\nYou Bring\n15+ years in enterprise architecture, data architecture, or AI/ML platforms\nProven experience building enterprise-scale data and AI platforms\nExperience driving AI adoption from concept to production at scale\nStrong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems\nTechnical Expertise\nData architecture: lakehouse, data mesh, ETL/ELT, streaming pipelines\nAI/ML: model lifecycle, MLOps, generative AI, LLM integration\nData governance: metadata, lineage, quality frameworks\nPlatform engineering: APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures\nSecurity and compliance principles for data and AI systems\nLeadership & Operating Model\nAbility to operate at both strategic and deep technical levels\nStrong experience establishing enterprise standards and governance\nProven ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams\nTrack record of building high-talent-density teams\nSuccess Outcomes (12-24 Months)\nEnterprise AI and data platform established and adopted across business units\nData fragmentation reduced; clear ownership and governance in place\nAI delivery lifecycle standardized with measurable improvements in speed and quality\nIncreased business impact from AI (revenue, cost efficiency, decision quality)\nStrong architecture governance model driving consistency and reuse\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nBusiness Impact\nAI-driven revenue contribution and cost optimization\nAdoption of data and AI capabilities across business units\nPlatform & Delivery\nTime-to-deploy AI models\nPlatform adoption rate (% of workloads on standardized platform)\nData Quality & Governance\n% of critical data assets with defined ownership\nData quality score improvements\nAI Effectiveness\nModel performance (accuracy, drift, business outcome metrics)\nAI project ROI\nRisk & Compliance\n% of AI systems under governance\nReduction in data and AI-related risk incidents\nSponsorship:\nMust be legally authorized to work in the US.
