The role also supports month-end closing activities, headcount reporting, project finance (WBS, capitalization, Workday Projects) and ad-hoc / scenario-based analysis for India leadership (SMT), Engineering Directors and global finance teams. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable working in Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP and advanced Excel to deliver accurate, timely and well-explained numbers.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nPrepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts for assigned cost centers and projects; load them into the planning system; run scenario analysis.\nVariance Analysis\nAnalyze actuals vs budget, prior forecast and prior year (monthly and YTD), with bridges and clear commentary.\nHeadcount Reporting\nConsolidate and report headcount; align with approved positions and budget; reconcile to cost centers.\nMonth-End Close\nSupport month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations, in coordination with the accounting team.\nProject Finance & Capitalization\nSet up WBS projects in SAP; monitor AUCs and quarterly releases to Fixed Assets; run amortization simulations; support Workday Projects (budget setup, resource and project loading, labor-rate tie-outs); reconcile Workday Projects to SAP; support mid-year project labor absorption and cap rates; maintain the Plan of Record (POR) repository for NPD/NFD projects.\nReporting & Ad-hoc Analysis\nPrepare management reporting packages and dashboards; deliver ad-hoc and business case analysis for leadership.\nControls & Documentation\nKeep reconciliations and audit support current; maintain process documentation.\nRECURRING DELIVERABLES\nMonth-end close & journals\nAccurate, on-time close support\nActuals & variance reporting\nVariances vs budget, prior forecast, prior year\nForecast & headcount reporting\nForecast load and headcount reconciliation/ reporting BU wise\nProject reporting & reconciliations\nProject actuals, variances, bridges; Workday Projects-to-SAP reconciliations and tie-outs; WD Project Systems forecast\nWBS project set-up & AUC monitoring\nSAP WBS set-up; AUC monitoring and releases to Fixed Assets\nBudget preparation & scenarios\nAnnual budget load and scenario analysis\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nExperience\n5-7 years in FP&A, business finance or financial analysis, ideally in a corporate / captive / GCC environment with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis ownership\nMust have\nEducation\nBachelor's in Commerce, Finance or Accounting; MBA, CA, CMA or CFA preferred\nExcel & modeling\nAdvanced Excel (pivots, lookups, SUMIFS, multi-tab models); strong variance, bridge and scenario modeling skills\nPlanning tools\nHands-on Workday Adaptive Planning (or similar EPM tool) for forecast and budget loads\nERP / finance systems\nWorking knowledge of SAP (FI/CO, WBS / project systems, fixed assets); exposure to month-end close and journal entries\nCommunication\nExplains variances clearly to non-finance stakeholders\nBI / dashboards\nPower BI or Tableau\nGood to have\nHeadcount & cost center analysis\nExperience with HC planning, reporting and reconciliation\nWorkday Projects\nExperience with Workday Projects set-up and reconciliation\nCapitalization & amortization\nFamiliarity with AUC, capitalization and amortization simulations\nBI / dashboards\nPower BI or Tableau for dashboards and reporting\nCommunication\nClear written and verbal communication; able to explain variances to non-finance leaders and global teams\nWorking style\nDetail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-starter, comfortable with multiple recurring cycles and ad-hoc requests\nSUCCESS MEASURES\nAccurate, on-time close, forecast and budget deliverables.\nClear variance commentary and clean reconciliations.\nStakeholder satisfaction and audit readiness.\nAbout Pitney Bowes\nPitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI) is a global shipping and mailing company that provides technology, logistics, and financial services to more than 90 percent of the Fortune 500.
