PITT OHIO offers career opportunities within a company that values hard work, teamwork and integrity.\nSchedule\nMonday-Friday\n2:30 PM- 11 PM\nWhat PITT OHIO Offers\nCompetitive pay\nExcellent benefits including medical insurance with no weekly premiums, dental, vision, 401 (k) and profit sharing\nPaid time off and holidays\nA respectful, people first work environment\nWell-maintained equipment & modern facilities\nBase Pay Range: $29.54 - $34.54/hour\nActual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience, skill set and additional potential earnings.\nAdditional Potential Earnings:\nShift Differential\nCDL Premium\nASE Certification Bonus\nTool Allowance\nOnline Training\nIf you’re looking to join a company with a strong culture and a commitment to its employees, PITT OHIO is the place for you.\nResponsibilities\nDiagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly;\nConducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly;\nInforms management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggests corrective actions;\nIdentifies and informs management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and takes steps to solve issue if possible;\nCorrectly completes work orders and documents;\nMaintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance;\nComplies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.\nPerform additional duties as assigned. \nOperate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects;\nAnalyze malfunctions and perform general overhaul, tune up or preventive maintenance of equipment;\nDismantle and reassemble equipment;\nPlan work procedure using charges, technical manuals and experience;\nEnter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system.\nOther Duties\nTravel to other company shop locations when staff is needed\nReact to change productivity and handle other essential tasks as assigned\nQualifications\nTwo years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with one verifiable experience;\nA valid state-issued driver's license;\nMust pass DOT physical and drug screen;\nA CDL, ASE and State and/or Federal inspection certification is preferred but not required;\nCommand of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;\nKnowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintain a variety of heavy trucks and semi-trailers and other mechanical equipment is required;\nBasic hand tools are required;\nMust have working knowledge of the operating principles of diesel engines and repair of heavy trucks;\nAbility to maintain detailed time and parts used on work orders\nMust possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customers\nComputer skills needed for diagnostics.\nMust consent to the use of driver-facing event recorders in our fleet to promote the safety of our employees and the public.\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements\nTravel may be required; must be able to work a varied schedule based on need\nOvertime may be necessary during peak periods;\nMedium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects\nSubject to both internal and external environmental conditions\nSubject to: standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching\nPITT OHIO is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
