This position supports both the company headquarters and regional offices, with projects in development throughout the country. The position will be responsible for processing and managing invoices, ensuring timely payments, maintaining accurate records, and reconciling accounts, all while adhering to accounting principles and company procedures. This is an exciting, fast-paced industry requiring creative thinking and problem-solving skills to succeed.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nReview, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, proper coding, and required approvals.\nEnter invoices into the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining established processing deadlines.\nPerform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation to ensure payment accuracy and compliance with company policies.\nResearch, investigate, and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing variances, and vendor inquiries by partnering with internal departments and external vendors.\nPrepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and other electronic payment methods, ensuring all payments are accurate, authorized, and completed within payment terms.\nReconcile vendor statements and accounts, identifying and resolving outstanding balances, discrepancies, and unapplied transactions.\nAssist with vendor onboarding by collecting required documentation and ensuring vendor information is complete and accurately maintained.\nMonitor shared AP inboxes and respond to vendor and internal customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.\nPrepare account reconciliations, reports, and spreadsheets to support month-end close, audits, and management reporting.\nSupport month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring invoices are processed timely and accrual information is complete.\nAssist with internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and supporting schedules.\nIdentify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.\nMaintain confidentiality of financial information while ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting, to ensure efficient invoice processing and issue resolution.\nPerform other Accounts Payable and accounting-related duties and special projects as assigned.\nREQUIRED COMPETENCIES\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy. \nKnowledge of basic accounting principles. \nFamiliarity with accounting software and systems. \nGood communication and interpersonal skills. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team. \nPREFERRED COMPETENCIES\nPrior Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience\nPrior experience in the renewables
