This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll continue to contribute to architecture and development, working fluently alongside modern AI coding tools while fostering a high-performing, AI-native engineering culture.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nTechnical Leadership: \nLead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance SaaS applications.\nProvide creative technical, product, and architectural design leadership, shaping how new features and products are conceived and built.\nChampion an AI-native engineering practiceset standards for how the team uses AI coding agents (e. g., Claude Code) and agentic automation to accelerate delivery while safeguarding quality, security, and maintainability.\nGuide the integration of AI/ML capabilities, LLM-powered features, computer vision, and intelligent automation into the product.\nReview code to ensure quality, maintainability, scalability, and adherence to engineering best practices.\nDrive technical discussions, design reviews, and engineering decision-making.\nCollaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, Ops, and business teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.\n\nTeam Leadership\nLead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers.\nConduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development discussions.\nFoster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nSupport hiring, onboarding, and technical evaluation of new engineers.\nGuide engineers in solving technical challenges and achieving career growth.\n\nDelivery and Process: \nPlan sprint deliverables and ensure timely execution of engineering roadmaps.\nLead the Scrum process, facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\nKeep the Engineering Manager updated on progress, risks, blockers, and delivery status.\nIdentify project risks, remove blockers, and ensure on-time delivery.\nImprove engineering processes, development workflows, and release practices.\nEnsure high standards of testing, documentation, code quality, and production reliability.\nDrive continuous improvement through agentic automation, AI-assisted workflows, and engineering best practices.\n\nRequirements: \n6+ years of software engineering experience, having seen a SaaS product develop from early stage to scale, with a proven track record of delivering scalable applications.\n2+ years of experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams.\nExpert-level proficiency in Python and Django (Celery, DRF, API Integration).\nStrong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.\nStrong product sense and architectural design skills, with the creativity to turn ambiguous business needs into clean, scalable solutions.\nProcess-oriented, with hands-on experience running Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).\nExperience with relational databases, key-value stores, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).\nStrong knowledge of GitHub, Linear, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and DevOps practices.\nGood understanding of ReactJS (React Native is a plus).\nHands-on experience with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows (e. g., Claude Code), and the judgment to review, direct, and safely ship AI-generated code at scale.\nPractical experience integrating LLMs into products prompts engineering, tool/function calling, MCP-based integrations, and retrieval over vector stores (e. g., pgvector).\nExposure to computer vision/image processing (e. g., OpenCV, face detection) and to building internal automation or developer tooling (workflow automation, CI-driven agents) is a strong plus.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced product environment.\nBE/B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).\nM.
