You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable solutions that empower our clients in the digital advertising industry. Our tech stack consists of, but is not limited to:\nRuby on rails\nPostgres\nReact\nElastic search\nThe Engineering team at Placements tackles a variety of challenges, including big data problems, perfecting the user experience, service scalability, reliability, and AI-powered optimization. There are opportunities across the stack, and you will have the freedom to work on what features interest you.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain features for Placements.io’s advertising technology platform, covering both frontend and backend components.\n\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.\n\nBuild efficient, scalable, and secure code following best practices and coding standards.\n\nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure optimal system performance and stability.\n\nParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.\n\nConduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction.\n\nContinuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems.\n\nWork in an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team activities.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management and quality assurance, to ensure successful product delivery.\n\nStay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in web development, including AI/ML applications in software development.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n\nSolid experience as a Fullstack Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology-focused environment.\n\nProficiency in modern frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks/libraries like React.js, Angular, or Antd.\n\nStrong understanding of backend technologies and frameworks - Ruby on Rails is an asset.\n\nExperience with server-side development and RESTful APIs.\n\nKnowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms and services, such as Heroku, AWS, or Google Cloud.\n\nExperience working with or integrating AI/ML technologies is a strong plus (e.g., recommendation systems, predictive analytics, data enrichment).\n\nAbility to write clean, modular, and maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.\n\nExperience with version control systems like Git and proficiency in using related collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to identify and resolve technical challenges.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.\n\nPrior experience in the digital advertising industry or related domains is a plus.\n\nBenefits Include (subject to company policy changes permitted by law):\nCompetitive salary\nEarly-stage stock options\n20 days PTO\nApplicable labor insurance and pension fund\nRegular company lunches and happy hours\nGym membership reimbursement\nCell phone reimbursement\nTo apply to our open positions, please email your resume, cover letter, and the name of the position you are applying for to .
