If you’re motivated by hard technical challenges, modern infrastructure, and collaborating with strong engineers, this role is built for you.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nOwn services end-to-end - from architecture and design to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement\nDrive performance, scalability, and reliability, using data and metrics to guide decisions\nBuild infrastructure and data pipelines that support machine-learning, analytics, and real-time use cases\nPartner closely with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to turn complex data into impactful product features\nRaise the engineering bar through code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentorship\nREQUIREMENTS:\n5+ years of backend engineering experience in high scale systems\n2+ years working on NodeJS backend systems with TypeScript or JavaScript\nExcellent proficiency in Cloud Computing environments (AWS or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)\nFamiliarity with mobile app development (iOS/Android) in one or more of the following: Kotlin, Swift, Objective C, Java\nSolid engineering fundamentals: system design, data structures, APIs, testing, and observability\nHands-on experience with data-intensive systems and complex data pipelines\nBSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience\nOptional: Data engineering experience with Apache Spark is a big plus\nNICE TO HAVES:\nDemonstrated use of AI tools to work more efficiently-whether professionally or personally-and a curiosity for finding new ways to apply them.Comfort integrating generative AI into day-to-day workflows to boost productivity, quality, and output.\nWHY JOIN PLACER.AI? \nJoin a rocketship!
