Partnering closely with the SVP of Finance, you will build the models and narratives that shape how the company plans, and you will influence decisions in support of those plans.\nThis is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving Finance team. You will operate with significant autonomy, make judgment calls where data is incomplete, and be a person leaders work with directly for financial insights.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport all financial planning and forecasting across the P&L, balance sheet, and company cash flows including annual, quarterly, monthly and ad-hoc cycles. \nPartner closely with the R&D and product teams to drive actions influenced by your financial insights\nCreate forecasting models for on going and ad-hoc analyses. \nProvide in depth analysis of company performance, key KPIs, budget-to-actuals, flux, and key financial analyses\nWork closely with the Finance and Accounting teams in partnership with Placer business and support teams to track, adjust, monitor, fine-tune and continually improve the financial and business processes. annual and monthly budgets.\nDevelop, maintain and improve the company’s financial models.\nCross-departmental insights for the operations, marketing, sales development and sales teams to improve internal reporting processes, departmental budgets and non-financial KPIs.\nIdentify where improved controls are needed, design and test them, and work cross-functionally to embed them in the teams that operate them\nLead cross-functional projects end to end, including projects that may fall outside your direct scope, requiring you to influence team members not in your direct reporting chain to deliver results on time and effectively.\nREQUIREMENTS:\n8+ years of experience in finance, financial modeling and interpreting financial statements\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field\nA natural partner: you build trust with partner teams and executive stakeholders with an ability to turn differing views into shared decisions\nCan operate quickly with the skills to data-mine, organize, and gain insights from raw financial information, customer anecdotes and partner expertise. \nKnowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards and the budgeting process across a high-growth organization\nAble to proactively communicate effectively across departments in a remote environment and accustomed to working towards deliverable deadlines\nAn expert in Excel and Google Sheets, specifically in regards to financial modeling\nAble to work independently and fully-remote while collaborating in a small team environment and cross functionally\nAbility to manage multiple projects & priorities, seamlessly moving between strategy & execution\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a drive to learn and grow\nExperience with B2B SaaS / data subscription business model(s) is highly preferred\nNICE TO HAVES:\nDemonstrated use of AI tools to work more efficiently-whether professionally or personally-and a curiosity for finding new ways to apply them.\nComfort integrating generative AI into day-to-day workflows to boost productivity, quality, and output.\nWHY JOIN PLACER.AI? \nJoin a rocketship!
