To participate in the installation, programming and start-up of Plant systems and equipment as assigned.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:\nPlans details of working procedure by determining replacement needs or new material required and develops a logical approach to correct problem.\nAnalyzes circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service or replace electronic devices and systems.\nReceives wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions from supervisor covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation inspection work to be performed.\nPerforms work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operation of electrical equipment. Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.\nServices electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.\nInstalls, repairs, and maintains communication cables, power distribution systems, (Switchgear), and splices pieces as required.\nFabricates parts if not commercially available, using machine and hand tools common to the trade.\nDetermines need for, analyzes, and makes necessary running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls.\nAdvises and cautions operators and mechanics about potential electrical problems and inherent dangers involved.\nNotifies supervisor of potentially dangerous electrical equipment noted and corrective action taken.\nInstall, program, start-up and troubleshoot PLC, DDC based control systems, i.e., Allen Bradley SLC-50, 100, 500 or equivalent.\nMay be part of a mechanical team on major installations, working with other trades such as machinist, pipefitters, etc.\nMay be called upon to do temporary or long-term repairs in other areas of Plant Maintenance such as, pipefitter, HVAC, boiler room, etc.\nComply with all safety policies, report safety violations, and attend safety meetings.\nReport problems regarding food safety to supervisor or manager. \nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience\nFormal training in PLC based industrial control systems, i.e., Allen Bradley Training School course or technical school equivalent. 5 to 8 years experience as an industrial electrician, including 3 Phase Plant Power Distributions systems, motor theory, PLC controls. \nExperience with Robotics desirable.\nEducation\nVocational school or junior technical college training as an industrial electrician.\nCore Capabilities\nAbility to read and comprehend complex instructions and correspondences in English.
