As a Material Resource Planning (MRP) Coordinator, you will be at the heart of this process, ensuring the right materials, information and resources are in place to support a safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing operation. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with colleagues across Manufacturing, Supply Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance and HR, as well as our external suppliers. You'll play a key part in maintaining material availability, improving planning processes, supporting new product launches and helping the site deliver against its performance targets. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, working with data and building strong relationships to make things happen.\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For\nMaterials Planning\nManage daily and weekly material requirements to ensure packaging is available to support production plans.\n\nRun daily 'Available to Promise' (ATP) report and weekly MRP planning processes, ensuring suppliers have clear visibility of demand and call-off requirements.\n\nMaintain strong relationships with suppliers to support material availability and resolve issues proactively.\n\nBalance stock availability with working capital targets to support business performance.\n\nIdentify and communicate material risks, shortages or constraints, working with stakeholders to minimise impact to production.\n\nPlanning & Operational Support\nSupport the delivery of site KPIs, including customer service, plan adherence and manufacturing efficiency.\n\nWork closely with Supply Planning and Manufacturing teams to ensure production schedules reflect operational requirements.\n\nSupport activity planning including engineering work, cleaning schedules, trials and new product introductions.\n\nMaintain planning rates, production rules and system parameters to ensure planning accuracy.\n\nProvide clear communication of capacity constraints and supply risks.\n\nSystems & Data Management\nEnsure planning and material data within SAP and other business systems remains accurate and up to date.\n\nInvestigate and resolve stock discrepancies and data issues.\n\nSupport stock count activities and ensure accurate inventory reporting.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Project Support\nSupport supplier changes, material transitions and packaging updates.\n\nParticipate in cross-functional project teams, including New Product Development (NPD) and site improvement initiatives.\n\nWork with Marketing, Procurement and Commercial teams to minimise write-offs and maximise stock utilisation during product changes.\n\nContribute ideas and improvements that simplify processes, improve accuracy and enhance service levels.\n\nSupporting the Wider Team\nThe MRP Coordinator will develop the capability to provide cover across a range of supply chain activities, including (but not limited to):\nProduction recording\n\nBOM maintenance and system updates\n\nWaste sales administration\n\nStock reconciliation and reporting activities\n\nLabour and downtime reporting\n\nThis flexibility helps ensure continuity across the Supply Chain team and provides excellent opportunities for personal development and wider business exposure.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage multiple priorities and is passionate about working collaboratively to deliver results.\nEssential\nExperience working in a manufacturing, supply chain, planning, logistics or operational environment.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood working knowledge of SAP or similar business systems.\n\nStrong Excel and data management skills.\n\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\n\nAbility to influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.\n\nHighly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.\n\nResilient and adaptable in a changing environment.\n\nA proactive mindset and willingness to continuously improve processes.\n\nDemonstrates the pladis values and behaviours.\n\nDesirable\nQualification in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.\n\nExperience of MRP or production planning processes.\n\nUnderstanding of food manufacturing environments.\n\nFood hygiene and allergen awareness training.\n\npladis is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to hiring a diverse workforce.
