If that is your thing, then pladis offers global ambition, a clear Vision and roadmap for success, challenge, and unrivalled opportunities to learn and make an impact\nClick “Apply” to get started.\nWhat will this role achieve?\nDrive world-class commodity intelligence and risk management by delivering actionable market insights, predictive modelling, and digital decision-support tools that improve procurement and hedging outcomes globally.\nOwn the end-to-end execution and governance of commodity risk strategies, ensuring accurate exposure reporting, effective hedge implementation, and commercial support that strengthens supplier negotiations and business performance.\nWhat will be your key deliverables?\n· You will be responsible for publishing regular detailed and actionable research reports on agricultural, energy and industrial commodities.\n· Researching and building detailed commodity supply and demand models\n· Lead the development, enhancement and execution of econometric / AI models\n· You will be responsible for developing deep fundamental and technical market analysis.\n· Deliver a digitised market intelligence hub to disseminate quantitative and qualitative information to drive global and regional decision making.\n· Develop strategies on financial risk management with the commodities and other key prime material spends which may involve the use of futures, swaps\n· Take ownership of accurate global hedge position reporting, detailing exposures and ensuring these abide with governance policies & framework.\n· Ensuring timely execution of hedging strategies.\n· You will also have the opportunity to support key supplier negotiations through insights.\n· Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex / sensitive issues.\n· Other duties as assigned.\nBring your experience.\nEssential\nRelevant degree/qualification that demonstrates experience and learning suitable for this role.\nDemonstrable interest in commodities, energy or financial markets, with at least three years of experience working in commodities such as agriculture, metals, energy, or similar.\nKnowledge of hedging and financial risk management of commodities.\nA strong understanding of what impacts global commodity prices, with experience in fundamentals analysis and report-writing.\nAbility to translate global commodity insights to regional intricacies and tailor output to our manufacturing locations (Turkey, Central Asia, MENA, Europe, UK, North America, Sub-Saharan Africa & India)\nMaintain and build commodity research databases, with the ability to lead the development, enhancement and execution of models and processes to forecast and describe price, supply and demand, relative value and global trends on assigned commodity markets.\nDesirable\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nWhat will the interview process be?\n· Initial Telephone call with Talent Acquisition\n· 1st stage interview - 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.\n· 2nd stage interview - 90 minutes - a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.\npladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
