When required, you will stand in as a TechnicalOperator. Technical Operatorsare accountable for carrying out tasks within the machinery.\nThe rolerequires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team. Mustwant to progress within your team as you will be trained to step into the permanentrole when needed. Will be required to move lines across the factory as and when required.\nWhat will be your key deliverables?\nManually pack products within specifications (includesbending, lifting, stretching)\n\nVisually check for foreign matter / hazards\n\nEnsure quality of biscuits being packed is within product specifications\n\nEnsure adherence to all quality and safety standards.\n\nWork to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output.\n\nReport any problems to ATM/Supervisor\n\nEnsure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.\n\nSupport the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.\n\nProvide a co-ordinatedlink with all production processes on the line.\n\nTechnical Operator responsibilities\nPrioritiseand agree allocation of tasks within Technical Operator Team\n\nTake ownership and accountability for Supply Chain Excellence in the area (including Tiered Meetings and SCE Boards)\n\nEstablish high standards of work and work proactively in developing continuous improvement within the area\n\nCarry out all pre-start checks\n\nEnsure product is made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughout\n\nUnderstand equipment and machinery set up\n\nEnsure changeovers are completed to procedure Ensure any re-work procedures are followed\n\nCarry out machine changeovers\n\nEnsure product is to correct quality and specification, make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistency\n\nEnsure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard\n\nAlways maintain everyday factory standards safely\n\nShift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda\n\nTrain peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required\n\nUndertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance\n\nEnsure team understand the planning of their daily tasks\n\nCommunicate directly with relevant personto resolve any issue\n\nPrioritiseand agree allocation of tasks within Technical Operator Team\n\nMachine fault identification, diagnosis and rectification (where applicable)\n\nConfirm and prioritiseproduction activity in line with production plan\n\nBring your experience\nEssential\nBasic numerical and literacy knowledge\n\nManual dexterity\n\nBasic communication skills\n\nBasic problem recognition\n\nExcellent team working skills\n\nBe able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative\n\nPositive attitude and willingness to drive change within operational environment\n\nDesirable\nPrevious experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.\n\nKnowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work\n\nUnderstand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)\n\nWhat does the recruitment process consist of?\nAssessments - Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment.
