You will ensure strong financial control and compliance with French GAAP, ACPR regulatory requirements and Group reporting standards, while helping simplify and improve the French finance environment.\nThe role combines technical accounting expertise with business understanding, stakeholder management and process improvement.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn the accounting and month-end close for Planet’s French entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.\nEnsure compliance with French GAAP, statutory requirements and relevant regulatory obligations.\nTake responsibility for the financial information supporting ACPR regulatory reporting, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete and delivered on time.\nCoordinate statutory financial statements, supporting schedules and audit requirements.\nMaintain strong balance sheet controls, reconciliations and supporting documentation.\nAnalyse financial results and provide clear commentary on key movements, variances and risks.\nMaintain alignment between statutory, regulatory and Group reporting requirements.\nPartner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, FP&A and other Finance teams, as well as external auditors and advisers.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve accounting processes, systems and controls.\nSupport the integration and modernisation of French accounting activities within Planet’s wider Finance operating model.\nWho You Are\nQualified accountant, or equivalent relevant French accounting qualification or experience.\nStrong technical knowledge of French GAAP and French statutory accounting requirements.\nHands-on experience and ownership of ACPR regulatory reporting.\nStrong experience in month-end close, balance sheet control and financial reporting.\nExperience working with regulated entities or within a regulated business environment.\nKnowledge of French VAT and local tax reporting requirements.\nExperience working with auditors, tax advisers and other external stakeholders.\nComfortable working independently and taking ownership of complex accounting matters.\nAble to understand complex financial and operational issues and translate them into clear, practical actions.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nFluent in French and English.\nExperience in payments, financial services, fintech or another regulated international environment would be an advantage, as would exposure to IFRS, finance transformation, systems implementation or debt factoring.\nWhy Planet\nAt Planet, you’ll be part of an international organisation operating at the intersection of technology, payments and software.\nThis role offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of the French accounting environment while working closely with teams across the wider business.
