The Senior Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams-including data engineering, product management, and architecture-to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions, uphold governance and security standards, and drive continuous improvement through code reviews, prototyping, and technology evaluation.\nPrimary Duties\nContributes to the design and implementation of multi-tier, distributed, and event-driven systems using cloud-native services and modern design patterns.\nImplements infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using AWS CloudFormation, containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated deployment workflows.\nDesigns and develops microservices-based applications that leverage AWS/ECS/EKS to ensure scalability, security, and resilience.\nDesigns and develops data pipelines using AWS Lambda, Glue, and other AWS services, following operational standards for availability, performance, and disaster recovery.\nDesigns and develops RESTful APIs and integrates them with internal and external systems.\nDesigns and implements data storage solutions, including data lakes and warehouses that enable analytic and operational workloads.\nApplies data governance practices-such as data quality, lineage, and security-within the systems and pipelines developed.\nImplements integration strategies, APIs, and real-time/stream data solutions to ensure reliable and scalable data flows.\nContributes to technical design discussions and ensures solutions align with system engineering and architectural guidance.\nProduces and maintains high-quality system designs, technical documentation, and implementation specifications.\nParticipates in design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming sessions to share knowledge and promote modern development practices.\nEvaluates new technologies, tools, and frameworks, providing recommendations that support technical excellence and business needs.\nWorks closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize processes across teams.\nParticipates in proof-of-concept efforts by developing prototypes that validate design assumptions and accelerate solution delivery.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired Education, Training, and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical or scientific field\n7+ years of full stack development experience, including Java and modern web development frameworks such as Angular Suite.\nExperience with AWS EC2, S3, Lambda Functions, ECS, EKS, RDS.\nProven experience with AWS integration/production systems using multiple managed services.\nSolid grasp of security, compliance, and privacy fundamentals (least privilege, key management, network segmentation).\nExperience developing and maintaining APIs or serverless patterns.\nInfluence and Code -
