In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.\nThe Managed Services Cloud Engineer is responsible for partnering with clients to form a long-lasting relationship while assisting with their growth across the various cloud platform. This would cover a wide breadth of tasks from technical writing, security assessments, licensing questions or anything in or related to the AWS and Azure Cloud. Expertise in AWS, Linux and related core technologies is the primary driver for this position, including but not limited to Cloud Identities, Virtual Machines, Networking, Firewalls, Database and File Management, Functions, and Architecture. Azure cloud experience is a huge positive, and represents most of our active work today, so being able to work in both clouds is highly desired. Amazon Web Services experience with engineering and architect work, as well as Linux Expertise is required. This position will perform other duties as assigned and/or needed.\nQualifications\nDeep knowledge of Linux OS and its supported technologies and systems\nAWS Cloud experience and expertise\nAzure Cloud experience and expertise\nCloud Core Platforms (AWS and Azure): Compute, Storage, Networking, Virtual Machines, Identity and Access Management (IAM Identity Center), Security and Compliance (AWS Security Hub), Federation with external identity Platforms, Infrastructure required\nExperience with AWS or Azure Government highly desired\nKubernetes, containers, are highly desired\nGovernance experience is preferred\nLinux System administrator experience, OS management, patching, application management, etc.\nLinux experience with Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu and GNOME is desired\nAny Linux Technical certifications are preferred, especially related to system administration at scale in Cloud environments.\nAny AWS Technical certifications are preferred, especially related to the core technology stack of Amazon Web Services.\nAny Azure Technical certifications are preferred, especially related to the core technology stack of Microsoft Cloud.\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities:\nCreates processes, documentation, and sets standards in several practice areas.\nWill demonstrate technical Lead skills and support customer projects.\nWill be able to implement related technologies and understand their direct dependencies.\nAbility to navigate new or unknown technical areas and quickly get up to speed to support customer requirements.\nProfessional with excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nMust be able to proactively respond to internal/external questions and collaborate across internal/external teams.\nWill be able to solve problems efficiently in complex environments and suggest process improvement or standardization as requested and/or needed.\nExpertise and demonstrate a proactive approach to help customers make critical decisions around features and capabilities, and referring additional products or services within the specific areas of technical competence if needed and/or required for the customer\nMust possess the experience and knowledge of when to articulate escalations and communicate progress to stakeholders effectively.\nEssential Duties\nAs part of the Managed Services team, you are responsible for helping to foster long-term relationships and partnerships with our clients, going beyond just doing good technical work, and becoming a good co-worker, partner, and advisor.\nSurface and analyze customer business requirements.\nTranslate requirements into an architectural design and influence the deployment of key infrastructure components\nDesign, construct, configure, and maintain all facets of an AWS Subscription/Tenants\nPlan and execute an end-to-end implementation of the target workload\nCI/CD development pipeline work\nTroubleshooting AWS and Linux issues as our Subject Matter Expertise\nCost and performance optimization of server and cloud resources\nMaintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Azure and related core technologies\nBe up to date on new technologies within Azure that could benefit customers\nUnderstand and be comfortable with multiple Azure technologies/products and be able to assist clients in the exploration, initial setup, and support of those technologies\nDesired SME skillset for a few select technologies for which you could ask as the team's internal expert and escalation point.
