We continue to lead the industry with unrivalled ideas, ability, and a quest to discern paradigms.\nAbout the Role\nYou'll be responsible for developing, executing and maintaining automated tests across UI and API platforms, helping deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.\nWe're recruiting across two levels:\nSenior Automation Tester: Lead automation framework development, drive automation quality and provide technical guidance across complex testing activities.\n\nAutomation Tester: Develop, execute, debug and maintain automated tests, contributing to the overall automation strategy.\n\nLocation: Open to candidates based anywhere in Australia, with a preference for Sydney-based applicants. Hybrid working arrangements apply, requiring two days onsite per week, depending on location.\nWhat You’ll Do \nDesign, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.\n\nPerform UI and API test automation, including functional, integration and regression testing.\n\nDevelop, enhance and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test components.\n\nIntegrate automated tests into Git and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nInvestigate and troubleshoot automation failures, application defects and testing issues.\n\nUtilise AI-assisted coding tools to support automation development and improve efficiency.\n\nReview, validate and debug AI-generated automation scripts to ensure quality and reliability.\n\nCollaborate with developers, testers and technical teams to improve testing practices and delivery outcomes.\n\nFor senior-level opportunities, provide technical guidance, code reviews and support automation framework development.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nStrong hands-on automation experience using Playwright and TypeScript.\n\nExperience developing, executing and maintaining UI and API automated tests.\n\nGood understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.\n\nExperience with Gherkin/BDD testing practices.\n\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nExperience using AI-assisted coding tools and validating AI-generated test scripts.\n\nAbility to write clean, reusable and maintainable automation code.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within technical delivery teams.\n\nFor Senior Automation Testers, we're also looking for:\nAdvanced Playwright/TypeScript and API automation expertise.\n\nProven experience designing and developing automation frameworks.\n\nStrong code review, debugging and automation quality assurance skills.\n\nExperience integrating automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines.\n\nAbility to provide technical direction and guidance across automation activities.\n\nCulture and Benefits\nWe believe in fostering a culture where our people are rewarded for the work they do and looked after from their first day at Planit!
