Shipping Associate
SUMMARY: Responsible for all tasks related to accurately packing and shipping items in a fast-paced environment. This position works in partnership with eCommerce Fulfillment and reports to Logistics & Operations management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume overall responsibility for Shipping goods and functions
- Assist in the intake, prep, and packing of all outgoing items to meet the daily FedEx, UPS & USPS pick-up and drop-off deadline
- Assemble, prepare, fill, and package boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped
- Product Inspection (outbound)
- Print shipping product labels and secure them to boxes
- Update Inventory in the database and promptly report low inventory items
- Manage and maintain Excel spreadsheet
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed
- Maintain and organize supplies
- Assess packaging needs adequately for delicate items
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of shipping experience in a packaging warehouse environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and basic knowledge of computer skills
- Must be highly detail-oriented and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have transportation
