Join us.\nAbout the Role\nPlante Moran is building the next generation of its data and analytics platform, and we’re looking for an AI-Native Data Engineer who is excited to build, experiment, and learn fast. You’ll work in a modern Microsoft-centric ecosystem built on Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Power BI, designing scalable, governed solutions aligned to Medallion Architecture - with AI treated as part of the data engineering lifecycle. This role is ideal for a go-getter: someone who takes initiative, loves problem-solving, is hungry to learn, and has a strong desire to build and create new things.\nYour role.\nBuild and operate automated, repeatable data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure (e.g., Data Factory) with strong observability.\nImplement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold): land raw data, transform/validate/enrich, and publish trusted data products for analytics and AI.\nIngest data from APIs and enterprise systems into lakehouses and Azure SQL-based stores; model data to support reuse and AI/ML feature needs.\nDevelop transformations using Python/PySpark/Spark and SQL/T-SQL.\nExperience building AI agentic workloads (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Agents, workflow automation, PR review bots, orchestration assistants), or strong interest in learning agent-based patterns.\nUse Git and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub/GitHub Actions) for source control, reviews, and deployments; leverage Copilot/AI tools to accelerate delivery and documentation.\nPartner with architects and stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, governed solutions.\nThe Qualifications.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.\n2-4 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software development.\nStrong SQL plus Python for data transformation and pipeline logic; experience with PySpark/Spark.\nHands-on with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Data Engineering/Pipelines) and Azure Data Factory; general Azure exposure (Azure SQL, Storage, APIs).\nExperience with Databricks (Azure Databricks preferred).\nWorking knowledge of Git and CI/CD basics (branching, PRs, automated checks/deployments).\nMust be able to remain in a stationary sitting position for at least 75% of the time. \nMust be able to lift at least 15 lbs- specific job duties may require additional lifting to move, transport, position and install equipment. \nFrequently positions self to bend and lift packages. \nOccasional moving & lifting of equipment; bending, lifting, climbing required to position self to maintain computers during engagements. \nPerson in position needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access machinery, cabinets, etc. \nPerson in position frequently communicates with individuals who have inquires.
