As a Solution Architect,you will be responsibleforoptimizingthe Management Consulting technology stack by identifyingopportunities to consolidatetools, improve integration, streamline workflows, apply emerging technologies, and retire redundant or legacy solutions to createmeasurable business value.You will also be defining and governing end-to-end solution architecturesthat enable practice-specific capabilities, offeringsand processes. Youwill partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Project Managers, Enterprise Architectureand other Solution Architectsto ensure Management Consultingsolutionsalignto enterprise standards while achieving the practice’sstrategic objectives.

Your role.

  • Optimizethepractice’stechnology stack by identifyingopportunities to consolidatetools, improve integration, streamline workflows, apply emerging technologies, and retire redundant or legacy solutions

  • Develop a deep understanding of the practice’s objectives, processes, services, and data to guide solution architecture decisions

  • Design end-to-end, scalable solutions that support the practice’s engagement lifecycle, delivery enablement, workflows, reporting, and analytics using shared platforms and integrations

  • Act as the design authority for practicesolutions, reviewingand approving architecture designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, approved patterns, and long-term sustainability

  • Define and maintainreusable solution patterns and reference architectures that enable consistency, scalability, and reduced technical debt across the practice

  • Support the full product lifecycle for practicesolutions, including roadmap definition, major enhancements, platform upgrades, and decommissioning decisions

  • Partner with Enterprise, Platform, and Foundational Architects to apply security, data, AI, application, and infrastructure standards while bringing practice-driven perspectives into firmwide architecture decisions

  • AdviseProduct Managers and Product Owners on architectural trade-offs between standard capabilities, configuration, and customization to balance speed, quality, and sustainability

  • Represent the practice in architecture governance forums, driving alignment across practice, platform, and enterprise technology roadmaps and senior stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (required)

  • Must have a deep architecture background with at least ten years of experience spanning multiple architecture domains, with depth in at least one area relevant to professional services solutions and working knowledge across cloud andinfrastructure, security, identity and access management, data architecture and integration, application development architectures, process analysis, DevOps, and product management

  • Must have broad working knowledge paired with working experience across the Microsoft portfolio, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Compute and Networking, Security and Identity, Azure Integration Services, Application Development, Copilotand related AI capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to leveragecapabilities from across the Microsoft ecosystem and combine them with third-party platforms, packaged products, APIs, and custom-developed components to deliver integrated, end-to-end products

  • Experience evaluating when to use native Microsoft capabilities, configuration, customization, custom development, or third-party solutions based on business fit, user needs, interoperability, cost, risk, scalability, and long-term sustainability

  • Proven ability to architect the complete product experience including business processes, user experience, applications, workflows, data, integrations, security, automation, analytics, infrastructure, operations, and lifecycle management

  • Deep analytical and design thinking skills

  • Experience designing solutions in a professional service, consulting, or highly regulated services environment

  • Experience working within a product-centric or platform-based delivery model

  • Communication skills to make technical topics easier for practice leaders to understand

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Persists in the face of obstacles, demonstratesinitiative, and sets high personal standards for performance and operational excellence

This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays, as well as a 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging, and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers some contingent staff positions the option to elect health insurance in addition to limited paid sick time.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $125,000.00 - $190,000.00
