In this role, you will design, build, and evolve web applications using React on the frontend and Python on the backend. You will own features from concept through deployment, contribute to technical strategy, and help build secure, scalable, and maintainable products. Working closely with Product, Design, and QA, you will also raise engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews, strong development practices, and mentorship.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and develop modern web applications using React and Python.\nBuild RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.\nLead technical design discussions, create architecture documents, and drive decisions related to scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.\nOwn features end-to-end from discovery and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.\nCollaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer outcomes.\nConduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor mid-level and junior engineers.\nOptimize application performance across the stack, including frontend rendering, API latency, database queries, and overall system responsiveness.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and observability.\nIdentify and reduce technical debt, including leading modernization, refactoring, or migration initiatives.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and incident response, and lead root-cause analysis for production issues.\nRequirements:\nStrong professional experience building production-grade web applications with React and Python.\nExpert-level knowledge of React, including hooks, context, and state management using tools such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query.\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nDeep Python expertise and hands-on experience with one or more frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.\nExperience with asynchronous programming and background job processing using technologies such as Celery or RQ.\nStrong database fundamentals, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.\nExperience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing, and test-driven or test-aware development practices.\nExperience writing frontend tests with Jest and React Testing Library, as well as backend tests with PyTest.\nStrong understanding of system design, software design patterns, distributed systems, and service maintainability.\nPractical knowledge of application security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and OWASP principles.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly, influence design decisions, and work effectively across teams.\nNice to Have:\nExperience with Next.js, server-side rendering, or micro-frontend architectures.\nExposure to message queues and event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Amazon SQS.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Sentry, or the ELK Stack.\nKnowledge of AI/ML integration or data pipelines built with Python.\nExperience working in SaaS, fintech, or enterprise product environments.\nOpen-source
