You will design, build, and evolve web applications using Python on the backend and React on the frontend, with a primary focus on backend (roughly 70% backend / 30% frontend).\nYou will own features from concept through deployment, contribute to technical strategy, and help build secure, scalable, and maintainable products. Working closely with Product, Design, and QA, you will also raise engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews, strong development practices, and mentorship.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nDesign and develop modern web applications using Python and React.\nBuild RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.\nLead technical design discussions, create architecture documents, and drive decisions on scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.\nOwn features end to end, from discovery and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.\nCollaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer outcomes.\nConduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor mid-level and junior engineers.\nOptimize performance across the stack, including frontend rendering, API latency, and database queries.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and observability.\nIdentify and reduce technical debt, including leading modernization, refactoring, and migration initiatives.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and incident response, and lead root-cause analysis for production issues.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired\n\n9–11 years of experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications, with strong expertise in Python (backend) and hands-on experience with React (frontend).\nStrong proficiency in Python and experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.\nSolid understanding of async programming, background job processing (e.g., Celery, RQ), API design, database design, and scalable backend architecture.\nStrong system design skills: ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems, make sound technical trade-offs, and translate business requirements into robust designs.\nExperience with React, including Hooks, Context, and state/data management using Redux, Zustand, or React Query.\nProficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nStrong database fundamentals, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL; experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, and automated testing (Jest and React Testing Library on the frontend, PyTest on the backend).\nPractical knowledge of application security, including OAuth, JWT, and OWASP principles.\nStrong debugging, performance optimization, and code quality skills, with the ability to independently own technical problems.\nClear communication skills, with the ability to influence design decisions and work effectively across teams.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience with AWS.\nExperience with Next.js, server-side rendering, or micro-frontend architectures.\nExposure to message queues and event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS).\nKnowledge of GraphQL.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Sentry, ELK).\nKnowledge of AI/ML integration or Python data
