If you are ready to create unforgettable experiences and grow as a person and as a professional, apply today.\nWe are currently recruiting for the position Manager of Entertainment Technical for Disney Cruise Line.\nYou will report to the Cruise Director and shore side Entertainment Production Manager with an average of 4 direct reports.\nResponsibilities:\n- Provide leadership, training, performance coaching, recognition, and feedback including\ndocumented conversations and coachings to team of direct reports\n- Lead the Entertainment Technical staff regarding set-up, operation, maintenance, and\ntroubleshooting of all show equipment and procedures\n- Prepare and communicate schedules, rehearsals, events, and department meetings\n- Build and process work orders, purchase requisitions, equipment inventories, show\ndocumentation, maintenance logs, technical documentation, and crew member files\n- Facility maintenance in regard to all technical systems, cueing, music/video library, and\nproduct stock levels\n- Ensure the adherence to all safety procedures and tracking of technicians' certificates,\nsafety training, and required HR classes\n- Supervise the smooth operation of band load in/out, sound and light checks, and show\nperformances\n- Partner with Marketing/Promotions in planning and execution of promotional activities and\nSpecial Events/Conventions\n- Establish and maintain positive relationships and two-way communication with all related\ndepartments\n- Effectively communicate with shipboard technicians and shoreside management team\nBasic Qualifications:\n- Minimum five years experience in a technical role within a theatrical operation- Previous leadership experience including significant delegation, organization,\ncommunication, planning and problem solving skills\n- Broad knowledge of Theatrical Scenic, Audio, Lighting, Lasers, Video, Show Control,\nAutomation, Rigging and Effects Technology\n- Strong computer programming and operational skills\n- Understanding of the role of Entertainment Creative Management including but not limited to\nshow directors, project managers, designers, and choreographers, etc.\nAdditional Information:\nThis is a shipboard role\nBenefits offered year-round, on contract and off-contract, as long as return contract is signed, including Major Medical Coverage, Short & Long Term Disability, Life Insurance and Retirement Savings Plan Option\nYou must:\nBe genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel\nBe willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan\n Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control\nIf applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations\nYour Responsibilities:\nHave a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)\nComplete a pre-employment medical\nObtain a criminal background check\nBring approved work shoes\nDisney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace.
