If you are ready to create unforgettable experiences and grow as a person and as a professional, apply today.\nResponsibilities:\n- Maintain and repair lighting equipment including lighting rig checks and the completion of\nrequired documentation\n- Safely handle, set and dispose of pyrotechnic products onboard\n- Collect, receive, load and manage inventory of all pyrotechnics\n- Prepare and load confetti cannons\n- Set, strike and perform required show tracks for all Walt Disney Theatre production shows\n- Operate the Lighting / SPFX tracks for all Walt Disney Theatre production shows and train to\nbe the backup Show Control Technician - Walt Disney Theatre\n- Perform emergency abbreviated shows based on weather conditions, safety requirements,\nrehearsals and other altered technical requirements\n- Be an important contributor to the Walt Disney Theatre Team with responsibilities for load in\nand load outs, Cast changeovers, new show installations, equipment tests, vendor support,\nmovie premiers and company events\nRequired Basic Qualifications:\n- Minimum two years show production experience in a similar role\n- Experience with repair, maintenance, and operation of intelligent and generic lighting\nequipment including a wide range of intelligent lighting fixtures\n- Experience with computerized lighting control systems\n- Knowledge of special effects systems including smoke and pyrotechnics\n- Understanding of staging, scenic and props\n- Can work at heights, with heavy equipment and in an environment with second-hand smoke,\nhaze, fog, dry ice, and other special effects\nAdditional Information:\nThis is a shipboard role\nYou must:\nBe genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel\nBe willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan\nBe willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control\nIf applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations\nYour Responsibilities:\nHave a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)\nComplete a pre-employment medical\nObtain a criminal background check\nBring approved work shoes\nDisney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace.
