We're looking for a Senior IT Engineer to build the systems and support that keep our people productive, connected, and secure across 10 sites worldwide. You'll own our corporate IT infrastructure, from employee technology and identity management to security, compliance, and office networking, with the autonomy to improve how it all works. You will build and shape an IT function that reliably scales with the company, making it easier for everyone at Plasmidsaurus to do their best work.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild Reliable, Scalable IT Systems\nBuild and continuously improve reliable, automated IT systems and processes that support the company as it scales.\n\nOwn the IT administration, integrations, and security of systems including Google Workspace (IdP), Rippling, and SentinelOne, ensuring reliable identity and access management, SSO/SCIM provisioning, and role-based access controls.\n\nBuild and improve secure, automated onboarding, offboarding, device management, and access provisioning across our global workforce.\n\nManage employee workstations, endpoint security, and access to corporate and on-prem systems across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.\n\nOwn Corporate Security & Compliance\nLead and manage our SOC 2 compliance efforts in Vanta, including developing cybersecurity policies, preparing for audits, monitoring controls, and addressing gaps.\n\nOwn and strengthen organizational security through identity and access controls, endpoint protection, phishing prevention, vendor reviews, and security awareness\n\nIdentify and address corporate IT security risks proactively, coordinating assessments and partnering with Platform Engineering on production infrastructure risks.\n\nKeep Our Global Sites Connected\nDeploy, maintain, and troubleshoot office and lab networks across our 10 global sites, working with Platform Engineering on architecture, automation, and new site buildouts. Our networks use pfSense, MikroTik, Terraform, and Ansible.\n\nYou are someone who:\nTakes ownership of the IT function as a whole, building the systems, processes, and capabilities needed to support the company as it grows.\n\nIs equally comfortable troubleshooting a network, automating a workflow, and solving an employee's technical problem.\n\nThinks ahead, proactively building solutions for the next stage rather than waiting for problems to emerge.\n\nThrives in a high-agency environment where you can move quickly, make decisions, and see the impact of your work.\n\nBrings a service mindset without sacrificing technical rigor, security, or efficiency.\n\nEnjoys experimenting with new tools and technologies and finding smarter ways to work.\n\nQualifications\nBS in Computer Science\n\n7+ years of hands-on IT engineering or systems administration experience, ideally in a growing, technically complex company.\n\nStrong experience administering Google Workspace, identity and access management (SSO, SAML, SCIM), and endpoint management across Mac, Windows, and Linux.\n\nExperience with MDM, endpoint security, and device lifecycle management; familiarity with Rippling and SentinelOne preferred.\n\nExperience owning SOC 2 compliance, security controls, and audit readiness.\n\nHands-on networking experience, including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and office infrastructure, Tailscale, pfSense and MikroTik experience preferred.\n\nExperience with scripting and infrastructure automation using tools such as Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible.\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills and a track record of independently improving IT systems, processes, and security.\n\nWe encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't perfectly align with the job description as we seek out diverse and creative perspectives.
