The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for aircraft applications. This role requires a strong background in embedded systems and a passion for innovation in the aerospace industry.\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop, and test embedded software for aerospace systems and components.\nCollaborate with hardware engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration.\nDevelop and maintain software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.\nPerform software debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high performance and reliability.\nConduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.\nParticipate in system-level testing and validation to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.\nStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded software development.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes and tools.\nPerform other duties as necessary and/or required.\nBASIC REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the aerospace industry.\nProficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and assembly language.\nExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded development tools.\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.\nKnowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations, such as DO-178C.\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to obtain a security clearance.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nAdvanced degree in a related field.\nExperience with version control systems, such as Git.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nOccasional travel may be required to support testing and integration activities.\nAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as
