In this role, you will be a key contributor to our cloud-native full-stack development efforts, designing and deploying robust, high-performance software for high-velocity fleet solutions. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work with an innovative mindset to solve complex problems and ensure the successful delivery of projects that impact the global transportation industry.\nEssential Responsibilities\nFull-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Node.js, Vue.js, React.js, and TypeScript, ensuring maximum performance across a variety of web-capable devices.\n\nAPI & Backend Architecture: Create efficient internal and external APIs and develop optimized database schemas for both RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (ElasticSearch) environments.\n\nCloud & Infrastructure: Deploy and manage applications on AWS, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.\n\nQuality Engineering: Write clean, modular, and testable code; conduct thorough unit, integration, and performance testing (using frameworks like Jest or Enzyme) to ensure software reliability.\n\nCollaborative Innovation: Partner with Product Managers and Architects to translate requirements into technical specifications while automating CI/CD pipelines alongside the DevOps team.\n\nExperience\nRequired Experience\n4+ years of professional experience in software development with a heavy focus on Node.js, Vue.js, and React.js.\n\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack).\n\nSolid understanding of Microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).\n\nHands-on experience with AWS and cloud deployment methodologies.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of database management (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, or ElasticSearch).\n\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with React state management libraries (e.g., Redux).\n\nFamiliarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).\n\nExperience with Agile tools like Jira or Rally.\n\nTraits of a Successful Candidate\nProblem Solver: Exceptional debugging skills with the ability to navigate complex software systems and performance bottlenecks.\n\nEffective Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional, international team.\n\nContinuous Learner: A proactive mindset and a willingness to explore and adopt emerging cloud and microservices technologies.\n\nDetail-Oriented: A commitment to writing clean code and following software engineering best practices.\n\nBenefits & Legal\nThe company offers various benefits to regular, full-time employees including:\nProvident fund and gratuity in accordance with applicable laws.\n\nPaid vacation, sick leave and holidays, in accordance with applicable laws.\n\nTwenty-Six weeks of paid maternity leave.\n\nPlease note: The compensation details listed in India role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.\nPlatform Science collects your personal information to support its business operations.
