We innovate across what we build and how we deliver it, staying focused on a next-generation, open private cloud while holding ourselves to one standard: exceptional customer outcomes.\nPosition Summary:\nWe are looking for a customer-focused staff product manager to drive the vision & execution for Platform9’s Private Cloud Director - our flagship private cloud management product that offers enterprises the best alternative to VMware, and that enables customers to manage their virtualized and Kubernetes infrastructure across private or co-location hosted data centers and edge locations. You will be the product owner of the platform that is setting a new standard for private clouds. You will work closely with Platform9 customers, engineering and GTM teams to define our product roadmap and then ensure it’s being executed. This role reports into our VP of Product.\nResponsibilities:\nDefine and lead comprehensive product strategy development for Platform9's private cloud infrastructure stack on virtualization and bare metal platforms in close collaboration with the Engineering leadership team.\nWork closely with Platform9 customers and users to build a deep understanding of their processes and pain points.\nDeep dive into industry and ecosystem to understand leading trends in virtualization and / or container orchestration in the industry.\nTransform your knowledge and expertise into defining innovative products and solutions that redefine how private cloud technology is consumed\nWork on complex business problems with a high level of ambiguity. Add clarity and context and details then transform them into products that make an impact on Platform9 GTM.\nDefine metrics for customer engagement and product success and ensure measurement and execution. Present reports on metrics to management.\nAct as a trusted advisor for select Platform9 customers, communicate roadmap, enable successful product deployment and consumption.\nWork with the go-to-market team (sales, marketing) to enable sales by providing training on new features, collateral, battle cards, and other necessary content.\nBeing the voice of our customers internally to the Platform9 team, proactively communicate requirements and influence product roadmap.\nCommunicate best practices, reference architectures and other training material to customers\nCollaborating with the engineering team to lead public documentation for the products and / or components you own.\nRequirements:\nMS in Computer science or an equivalent degree with minimum 12 years of experience building enterprise software products\nExceptional verbal and written communication, organization and presentation skills\nDemonstrated leadership and ability to lead through influence\nProactive, energetic, creative, loves working on hard problems\nHighly organized, efficient at driving multiple projects with high priority and execute against strict deadlines\nBasic domain knowledge of virtualization and technologies such as VMware, Linux/KVM\nBackground in any of the following is a plus: virtualization, containerization, private/public cloud\nEnjoy discovering customer use cases, identifying gaps and resolving issues in the product.\nPassion for cloud technologies\nA background of product management, sales engineering or customers success is a plus\nBenefits and Perks:\nEmployees today are looking for companies that truly care and recognise their whole person.
