Collaboration is key-we work closely with internal\nteams and external partners to keep services running smoothly\nand securely.\nRequirements\nAbout Your\nRole \nReporting to our\nNetwork Assurance Operations Manager, you’ll be part of a\nskilled team of network and security engineers, working closely\nwith another Network Assurance Operations Specialist Team as\nwell as four other rotating shift teams to deliver a seamless\ntechnical Assurance operation. \nYour primary\nresponsibility will be to identify, manage, and resolve\nassurance faults impacting our partners’ voice and data\nservices.\nThis role follows a\ndayshift working hours, working days, with the addition of a\nlate shift (12:00 - 20:00) on rotation basis.\nKey responsibilities\nwill include but not be limited to: \n\nTroubleshooting and\nresolving escalated tickets and requests from our 1st Line\ntriage Team\nIdentify and respond\nto a variety of issues and assignments, providing technical\nanalysis and then implementing resolution steps to restore and\nimprove services for our customers and colleagues. You will lead\nas well as support issues with other SME’s or IM teams.\nResponsible for\ndetailed recording of faults and faults including but not\nlimited to a technical and non-technical explanation of\noperational impact, customer impact, progress, actions, and\nresolution. Ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date on\nprogression and next steps, whilst driving suppliers and\ninternal resolver groups towards restoring services within\nagreed SLA's.\nIdentify and record\nservice requests following root cause analysis and the\nrestoration of faults, champion a culture of operational\nexcellence through continual service improvements, particularly\nthose that will lead to improved KPI’s, ensuring they are\nprogressed appropriately.\nSupport the\ndevelopment and maintenance of playbooks and knowledge transfer,\nwhere required.\nAccountable for\nattending team, departmental and company updates and ensuring\nyou are engaged in all necessary comms channels to receive\nnecessary company updates.\nDemonstrate an\nappreciation of the wider business context and values. At times\ncontributing to daily fault calls producing and/or delivering\nupdates on daily and weekly metrics and reports.\nResponsible for\nensuring the security and integrity of network & IT systems\nby adherence to the company's Information Security policies and\nprocedures.\nAuthorised to access\nand make changes on live managed equipment, to ensure\nappropriate controls are in place to protect PXC and its\ncustomers. Authorised to approve engineer access to PXC and\nthird-party data centres.\nSuccess\nCriteria \nEssential : \nDemonstrable\nTechnical knowledge Infra/Network/Security experience\nUnderstanding of\nNetwork and optional Security Principles and practical\napplication of these in relation to Fault Triage and\nResponse\nSelf-motivated;\ngood time-keeping and customer-value work ethic.\nStrong analytical\nskills: gathers evidence, investigates solutions, considers\nimplications for the business, goal-orientated \nDemonstrate ability\nto problem solve, prioritising routine and non-routine tasks\nand work accurately and quickly in a high-pressure incident\nsituation\nAbility to\ncommunicate and advise on security and network topics to key\nstakeholders in an understandable form\nDesirable :\nRelevant Security\nor Network qualification or degree\nExperience working\nin a Network/Security Support function\nPractical\nexperience with the latest technologies and
