Business Development Representative Intern

Your responsibilities

This is not a coffee-and-spreadsheets internship. You own your own pipeline from day one and learn one of the most valuable skills in any company: selling.

Ask founders or CEOs where they learned the most, and many point to their early sales days. At Plato you learn it hands-on: from week one you talk to owners and managing directors in the wholesale industry, book meetings for our AEs and get direct coaching from our sales team.

In this role you will:

• Own your prospecting pipeline from first outreach to booked meeting, via phone, email and LinkedIn.
• Talk directly to decision-makers at mid-market distributors across Germany and beyond.
• Research target accounts and build lead lists, sequences and materials that land.
• Test new outreach channels and messages, keep what works and cut what doesn't.
• Write and refine call scripts and templates, and share what you learn with the team.
• Work AI-native: use AI tools to move faster and show the team what works.
• Hand over qualified leads to our AEs and join their calls to learn the full sales cycle.

Your qualifications

We care less about your CV and more about how you think and how hard you push. Tools and sales techniques you'll learn here. What helps:

• You're currently studying or just graduated, ideally in business, economics, engineering or a related field.
• You want to learn sales properly and aren't afraid of picking up the phone.
• You enjoy talking to people, can convince them and are reliable enough that they trust you.
• You take ownership, find a way forward when things are unclear and don't wait to be told what to do.
• You're resilient: a no doesn't stop you, it makes the next call better.
• Excellent German and English, written and spoken.
• Based in Berlin and in the office.
