We are excited to be rebooting the much-loved Fable franchise and are expanding our diverse team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.\nAbout the role:\nAs a Game Designer you will act as a champion of quality across the team, working with various disciplines to implement key systems and features, and using visual scripting and proprietary tools to build content in Fable.\nOur ideal candidate is a technically proficient Designer who is passionate about their craft, skilled in all aspects of Game Design, demonstrates a willingness to be hands on and has the track record to prove it.\nThis is a permanent role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.\nWhat you’ll do:\nUse tools and scripting within our custom, proprietary engine to implement features and content to the highest standard and deliver on the project’s vision.\nImplement and maintain high-quality feature and system designs.\nWork with a highly motivated, talented cross-discipline team to deliver content to expectations. \nWhat you’ll bring:\nIndustry experience in game design positions \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nStrong ability to design game systems and mechanics and align other disciplines around design intent \nPassion for problem identification and solving \nDemonstrable experience using scripting tools or similar \nInterest in collaborating within a team of diverse perspectives \nA flexible, highly motivated and friendly approach to your work \nA genuine passion for video games \nText-based scripting ability in C++, C# or similar is desired but not essential \nOur Benefits:\nAt Playground Games, we value the well-being and growth of our team members.
