Join us in reshaping technology's role to foster meaningful, real-world connections.\nYour role \nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a part of Playlist engineering team, you’ll pursue continuous improvement to help Mindbody achieve its mission: Powering the world’s fitness and wellness businesses and connecting them with more consumers, more effectively, than anyone else. \nYou’ll likely spend time working on \nDevelops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.\nConducts systems analysis and makes recommendations to improve the system to achieve an outcome.\nIdentifies opportunities for improving system reliability, security, and stability then working with product owners to prepare backlog items for the team.\nPromotes internal best practices and coding conventions to write and execute tests for your own code, including creating comprehensive unit tests.\nContributes to technical documentation.\nImplements best practices based on companywide policies and standards.\nOccasional on-call rotation duty to respond to after-hours system incidents.\nRequests constructive feedback for designs early in the process.\nCommunicates successfully with large teams and many personalities.\nProvides mentorship for Software Engineers and participates in interview panels to hire new Software Engineers.\nAssists in removing obstacles for the team to yield successful releases.\nPerforms peer code reviews to ensure quality of the codebase.\nAbility to guide and delegate work to junior engineers.\nUpdates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.\nWorks effectively with multiple projects and departments.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nAbout the right team member \nAt Playlist, we value team members who are curious, practical, and-openminded, and who care about our product, their teammates, and their own personal growth. We work very closely with our brilliant product team to deliver a world-class user experience, and ultimately to empower our users to create and grow successful businesses. \nYou’ll thrive in this role with experience in \n7 to 12 years engineering experience.\n6+ years of industry experience in programming web applications, mobile and/or large-scale enterprise products.\nExperience with NoSQL databases.\nExperience in Visual Studio.\nFamiliar with AWS services including EKS, EC2, Elastic cache, Non-RDBMS, SNS, SQS.\nFamiliar with SDLC and programming design patterns.\nFamiliar with Agile methodology.\nFamiliar with DevOps principles.\nSkilful at reviewing new feature impact on an application and recognizing potential risks.\nSkilled at analysing performance in a service.\nUses time effectively and efficiently.\nQuickly learns new technologies.\nCapable of forming new software teams.\nDetailed oriented, professional and possesses a positive work attitude.\nCommunicate professionally both verbally and in writing.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.\nTechnologies you’ll be working with \nWhile we value experience with these technologies, we’re primarily looking for team members with strong technical skills and the ability to quicky pick up new tools and frameworks \nC#, ASP, .NET, .NET Core, MVC, ADO/ADO.NET, LINQ, REACT, Ruby\nHave we piqued your curiosity?\nSound like the role for you?
