The company is able to offer best-in-class launch services to commercial satellite operators, institutions, space agencies and national and international governmental entities\nMission\nAs a labview automation engineer at PLD Space, your mission is to develop\nand maintain robust and efficient software for the ground systems that ensure the\nreliable and accurate testing of our systems and components. You will play a\nkey role in designing, implementing, and testing software solutions, enabling\neffective communication, monitoring, and control of our MIURA vehicles and\nground infrastructure.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams,including systems engineers, propulsion team, avionics team and flight\noperations, to gather requirements and contribute to the design of ground software\nsystems. \n\nParticipate in the testing and validation ofground software systems to ensure their functionality, reliability, and\ncompliance with mission requirements. \n\nTroubleshoot and debug software issues, workingclosely with the development team and stakeholders to identify and\nimplement effective solutions. \n\nIntegrate ground software systems with othercomponents of the aerospace system, such as onboard software and ground\ncontrol systems. \n\nStay updated on the latest advancements insoftware technologies and industry standards, applying them to enhance the\nperformance and capabilities of ground software systems. \n\nDocument software designs, specifications, andprocedures, as well as maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge\nsharing and future reference. \n\nAdhere to software development methodologies,quality standards, and safety protocols to ensure the reliability and\nsecurity of ground software systems. \n\nNecessary Requirements\nBachelor's degree in automation, electronics, telecommunication engineering or a related field. \n> 3 years of relevant technical experience. \nDeep knowledge of NI LabVIEW programming and efficient LabVIEW real-time architectures. \nExperience programming FPGAs on LabVIEW. \nExperience programming deterministic real-time applications on cRIO platforms focused on reliability and efficiency. \nKnowledge of industrial protocols: etherCAT, CAN / CANopen, EtherNet/IP, TSN, Modbus, etc. \nKnowledge of TwinCAT 3 (Beckhoff) or other PLC \nUnderstanding of software testing and debugging techniques. \nFamiliar with static code analysis, unit testing and continuous integration tools. \nKnowledge of electronic instrumentation and control. \nAutonomy in the development in all the phases of the complex technological projects. \nAvailability to travel occasionally to other PLD space locations. \nEffective communication and collaboration abilities to work within a team and interact with stakeholders. \nDesired Requirements\nUnderstanding of fluid systems and thermodynamics concepts.\nExperience with HIL test systems.\nNational Instruments official certifications.\nKnowledge of other NI tools such as NI Systemlink, DIadem and Veristand.\nKnowledge of networking protocols, databases, and web technologies utilized in ground software development.\nFlexibility and ability to work with few specified and changing requirements.\n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve software issues and attention to detail and a focus on quality.\nTime management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.\nExperience in ground software development and operation for the aerospace industry: mission control systems, satellite operations, or flight operations software.\nFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace testing and validation.
