The company is able to offer best-in-class launch services to commercial satellite operators, institutions, space agencies and national and international governmental entities\nMission\nAs a Supplier\nQuality Engineer your mission will be to oversee and improve the quality\nperformance of our suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for\nauditing, evaluating, and supporting suppliers to ensure compliance with PLD\nSpace’s quality standards and aerospace regulations. You will serve as the\nprimary point of contact for supplier-related quality issues, escalate\nnon-conformances, manage deviations (RFW/RFD), and drive corrective actions and\ncontinuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with internal teams and\nsuppliers, you will play a key role in enhancing product quality, process\nreliability, and supplier performance across the supply chain.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise and follow up quality processes linked tosuppliers of parts and processes.\n\nContribute to the selection and evaluation ofsuppliers, ensuring they meet PLD Product Assurance Requirements.\n\nEnsure that suppliers adhere to relevant qualitystandards, regulations, and company requirements.\n\nPerform quality audits to suppliers to verify theymeet the required standards and specifications.\n\nEscalate suppliers’ non-conformances to the NCMEngineers for their internal or joint treatment.\n\nEscalate supplier-related non-conformances detected atPLD Space facilities to suppliers’ quality teams.\n\nCollaborate with the NCM Engineer during the treatmentof supplier non-conformances.\n\nManage suppliers’ RFW & RFDs.\nBe the focal point for suppliers for incidenceresolution and quality assurance\n\nFollow up the implementation of corrective actions atsupplier facilities derived from non-conformance management, reporting\ninternally to the NCM Engineer.\n\nContribute to the development and continuousimprovement of suppliers’ processes and QMS.\n\nEnsure clear communication of quality requirements andan agile and collaborative environment for improvement of products and\nprocesses between suppliers and PLD Space teams.\n\nPrepare reports on supplier performance, qualityissues and corrective actions for internal and external stakeholders.\n\nNecessary Requirements\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, withpreference in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.\n\nFluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.\nMinimum of 2 years in supplier quality assurance,preferably in the aerospace industry.\n\nStrong understanding of quality management principles,manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, and product assurance\nprocesses.\n\nExperience in root cause analysis and implementationof corrective actions.\n\nHands-on-the-job, autonomy, communication andreporting skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary environments.\n\nExperience with quality management software tools andsystems.\n\nAbility to build relationships with suppliers and workeffectively in a team environment.\n\nDesired Requirements\nExperience in product assurance orquality management within the aerospace industry and with ECSS standards:\n\n- ECSS-Q-ST-10C (Space Product Assurance)\n- ECSS-Q-ST-10-09 (Nonconformance Control\nSystem)\n- ECSS-Q-ST-20 (Quality Assurance)\nExperience in working under a QualityManagement System based in ISO 9100.\n\nKnowledge of launch vehicle
