This role involves managing a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians, developing and implementing maintenance procedures, and coordinating with other departments to support production efficiency and safety.Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintenance Planning and Management:Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.\nOversee and ensure routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations are performed to the set standard.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and compliance with safety regulations.\n\nTeam Leadership:Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians, ensuring high performance and skill development.\nAssign tasks and projects to team members, monitoring progress and providing feedback.\nFoster a positive and collaborative work environment.\n\nEquipment and Facility Management:Ensure all production equipment is operating efficiently and safely.\nCoordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance without disrupting production schedules.\nOversee the maintenance of building infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.\n\nSafety and Compliance:Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.\nStay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to food manufacturing and maintenance.\nConduct regular safety inspections and audits, addressing any issues promptly.\n\nBudget Management:Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.\nIdentify opportunities for cost savings through improved maintenance practices and equipment upgrades.\nWork with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and procure necessary parts and equipment.\n\nContinuous Improvement:Analyze maintenance performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.\nImplement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to support overall operational excellence.\n\nFlexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Job Requirements:\nEducation/Certifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nProficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.\nDemonstrated leadership skills and possesses the ability to develop interdepartmental relationships.\nStrong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements.\nProven leadership and team management skills.\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.\nAbility to prioritize projects and clearly communicate direction internally and externally.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nManage multiple direct reports including but not limited to: Supervisors, Coordinators, Planners, Technicians.\nWork requires supervising and monitoring work performance of direct reports including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.\nDevelop functional responsibilities of individuals that report to this position and ensure that best in-class output is created.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:\nTypical work in an office and manufacturing facility environment.\nWork involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.\nWork environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.\nPosition requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis.\nExpectations:\nWill demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s Core Values in People, Quality, and Growth.\nAt C.H. The salary range for this role is:\n$89,026.00 - $163,399.00Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.\nC.H.
