Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency.Duties and Responsibilities:\nLead in the development of the annual and three/five-year capital plans by developing engineering plans, planning for facility management, planning for productivity and process improvements, defining individual projects, assigning budgetary costs to projects, organizing project support meetings and supporting other departments.\nPerforms other duties by managing capital projects from writing scope of work, request for proposal, requesting funding through the capital appropriation request, tracking project cost and time lines, helping set up PMs for new equipment, coordinating installation closely with production and other departments and leading out to execute vertical start up.\nLead the facilities process improvement activities including the productivity initiatives.\nFacilitate and teach process improvement methodologies to the facilities personnel to in order to develop a culture of continuous improvement. \nCreate and maintain annual operating and capital budgets.\nAssist in developing plant layout in planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment, and operations for better utilization of space.\nWork closely with research and development, quality assurance and maintenance personnel to prevent problems with products and equipment.\nEnsure all safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.\nStay informed concerning new manufacturing technologies and equipment in order to manufacture and reduce cost through efficiencies.\nSupport all current and new product introductions.\nEnsure vendors/subcontractors are manufacturing products according to product specifications.\nDetermine root causes of process problems and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process.\nConduct and report return on investment when considering improvement, replacements, repair, or capital purchase.\nEnsure that all manufacturing product specifications are developed, and testing procedures are in place before starting up vendors/subcontractors.\nAssist in the assessment of vendor/subcontractor evaluation for consideration.\nResponsible for coordinating training and developing standard operating procedures on new equipment to meet target launch date.\nManage external relationships with vendors/subcontractors.\nManage internal report such as uptime through software packages such as Redzone.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Job Requirements:\nEducation/Certifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an engineering or process improvement role.\nExperience with CAD software.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.\nProven track record of reducing costs through processes and efficiencies.\nExperience in equipment design and modifications\nOutstanding verbal and written communication skills\nHands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes.\nProcess-oriented mentality\nStrong problem-solving capabilities.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nN/A\nWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:\nTypical work in office and manufacturing environment.\nWork environment occasionally involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise as well as physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards when in our production facilities.\nExpectations:\nWill demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s Core Values.\nAt C.H. The salary range for this role is:\n$82,500.00 - $132,000.00 USDActual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.\nC.H.
