You will oversee and coordinate all activities related to sanitation to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a safe, hygienic, and efficient work environment.Duties and Responsibilities :\nDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive sanitation procedures and protocols for all areas of the facility, including production lines, equipment, storage areas, and employee facilities.\nLead and supervise a team of sanitation workers, providing guidance, training, and direction to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards. Including FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, as well as company policies and procedures related to sanitation and safety.\nConduct regular inspections and audits to assess sanitation standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.\nMaintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, chemical usage, and training documentation.\nOversee the proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.\nCollaborate with quality assurance teams to monitor product quality and identify potential sanitation-related issues that may impact product safety or integrity.\nProactively identify opportunities to optimize sanitation processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.\nCommunicate effectively with production managers, quality assurance personnel, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate sanitation activities and address any concerns or issues promptly.\nManage and assist with department projects to completion.\nMaintain and ensure compliance with company Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).\nFlexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Job Requirements:\nEducation/Certifications and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED, required.\nBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, preferred.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control in the food manufacturing industry.\nAt least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nProficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.\nStrong knowledge of sanitation principles, practices, and regulations in the food industry.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nAttention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.\nStrong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and SSOPs.\nBilingual is a plus.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nWork requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees or a work unit, including providing input on hiring / disciplinary and work objectives / effectiveness, and realigning work as needed.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:\nWork involves daily exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements includes, but is not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.\nWork environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.\nPosition requires the ability to sitting frequently at a desk, walking around the office and plant; carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; reaching and kneeling on a daily basis.\nExpectations:\nWill demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s Core Values.\nAt C.H.
