Apply now to join our growing team.\nPlenful is hiring a Staff Frontend UX Platform Engineer to shape the foundations of our product experience. You’ll build the shared tools, patterns, and architecture that help product teams deliver consistent, accessible, and performant interfaces. This is a hands-on staff role for someone who can set technical direction, solve complex problems, and make other engineers more effective.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead the architecture and evolution of our frontend UX platform, including shared components, design system foundations, and developer tooling.\n\nBuild product experiences and reusable infrastructure with TypeScript, and React.\n\nWork across the stack with Python and FastAPI to design and integrate APIs that support excellent user experiences.\n\nEstablish practical standards for accessibility, performance, testing, and frontend maintainability.\n\nPartner with design, product, and engineering teams to turn complex workflows into intuitive interfaces.\n\nMentor engineers, review technical designs, and drive improvements across teams.\n\nWhat you’ll bring\nMinimum Qualifications\n10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial experience building frontend applications at scale.\n\nStrong, hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React,\n\nA track record of leading frontend architecture or platform work across multiple teams.\n\nSound judgment about when to create shared abstractions and how to keep them useful as a product grows.\n\nExperience collaborating closely with designers and product partners on user-facing work.\n\nClear communication skills and the ability to lead through both code and technical guidance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with Python and FastAPI.\n\nExperience working at a health-tech startup\n\nFamiliarity with FHIR, HL7\n\nLocation: Candidates must be based in the San Francisco or Seattle area.
