We build a product used by thousands of companies across Europe, and our web app is a core part of that experience.\nWe’re hiring a Staff Engineer to join Web Core - our frontend platform team. The Web Core team exists to enable product engineers across Pleo to build and ship high-quality web software. We own the foundations of the web stack (tooling, patterns, architecture, reliability of the developer workflow), and we partner closely with product teams to make delivery faster, safer, and more consistent.\nWhat Web Core does\nBuild and maintain a web platform that teams use to efficiently deliver excellent web experiences.\n\nDrive technical excellence across Pleo’s web applications (architecture, patterns, quality, performance, accessibility).\n\nImprove developer experience (DX) through tooling, CI reliability, and fast feedback loops.\n\nSteward shared web foundations (libraries, conventions, golden paths) and support adoption.\n\nFacilitate and contribute to the broader frontend community at Pleo.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\nAs a Staff Engineer in Web Core, you will be a force multiplier. You’ll work across teams and systems to remove constraints and raise the bar for how we build and run web software.\nSet technical direction for parts of our web platform, and drive alignment across teams.\n\nIdentify the biggest leverage opportunities for web engineering at Pleo (quality, delivery speed, reliability) and execute on them.\n\nPartner with product engineers and leads to design solutions that fit the wider ecosystem.\n\nBuild and evolve internal tooling, frameworks, and golden paths that scale across teams.\n\nImprove the reliability and usability of our CI and local developer workflows.\n\nCoach and mentor engineers, and help grow technical leadership in the frontend community.\n\nContribute hands-on in code. This role blends strategy and execution.
