This role provides broad exposure to senior leadership, government and industry stakeholders, international expansion, and issues that directly affect the company’s reputation and ability to grow.\nKey Performance Objectives\nIncrease awareness and strengthen the reputation of Plexus among priority external stakeholders.\nBuild influential relationships with policymakers, regulators, key opinion leaders, industry organizations, and community leaders.\nEstablish a proactive approach to public policy by identifying and addressing emerging issues before they become business risks.\nSupport international expansion by strengthening government, industry, and stakeholder relationships in priority markets.\nIncrease internal understanding of Corporate Affairs and its value to the business.\nPerformance Accountabilities\nGovernment Relations & Public Policy\nDevelop and execute government relations strategies aligned with business priorities at the local, state, federal, and international levels.\nBuild relationships with policymakers, regulators, trade associations, and other stakeholders to advance business objectives and mitigate risk.\nMonitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments and recommend appropriate company positions and actions.\nRepresent Plexus with select government, industry, and external organizations.\nReputation, Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement\nBuild relationships with key opinion leaders and influential stakeholders who can strengthen understanding of Plexus and the direct selling business model.\nAdvance policies that protect independent entrepreneurship, consumer access, and Plexus’ ability to operate and grow.\nIdentify emerging reputational, political, regulatory, and stakeholder issues and develop proactive response strategies.\nPrepare executive briefing materials, talking points, position papers, and stakeholder engagement strategies.\nInternational Expansion\nSupport Corporate Affairs and government relations strategies for international market expansion.\nPartner across the business to assess political, regulatory, and stakeholder environments in priority markets.\nDevelop relationships with local governments, trade organizations, and other stakeholders that support successful market entry and ongoing operations.\nCross-Functional & Community Engagement\nPartner across Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Sales, and other functions to coordinate responses to external issues.\nSupport Corporate Social Responsibility and community engagement initiatives that strengthen Plexus’ reputation and stakeholder relationships.\nProvide leadership with external intelligence, stakeholder insights, and recommendations on emerging risks and opportunities.\nTrack the effectiveness and impact of Corporate Affairs initiatives and stakeholder engagement.\nSupport occasional business needs outside standard working hours.\nPerformance Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Political Science, or related field; master’s degree preferred.\n5+ years of experience in Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Crisis Communications, or Corporate Communications.\nDirect selling industry experience at the corporate level preferred.\nDemonstrated understanding of government relations, public policy, advocacy, and reputation management.\nStrong strategic thinking, writing, analytical, and executive communication skills.\nExceptional interpersonal skills with the emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and presence to build credibility with external stakeholders.\nAbility to influence cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nHighly personable, adaptable, and comfortable representing the company externally.\nDemonstrates high ethical standards, sound judgment, discretion, and integrity.\nAbout Plexus\nFounded in gut health.
