We keep things simple and ship quickly, while taking seriously the responsibility of running a customer’s website and marketing.\nAbout the role\nAs Ploy’s first PM, you’ll work directly with our founder Bryant Chou and engineering leads to shape our roadmap and own major product initiatives from idea through launch. This is a central, high-leverage role on a lean team, with real influence over our product direction and how we build.\nYou’ll bring customer insight and analytical rigor to our priorities, and help the team turn those priorities into shipped product. That means setting clear goals, making tradeoffs, coordinating work across teams, and taking ownership of the less glamorous details that get things over the line.\nImproving our first-time user experience, helping users find the right use cases and get tangible results in their first session.\n\nShaping how Ploy identifies opportunities and acts on them, from recommending what a customer should do next to running marketing workflows automatically.\n\nDesigning how customers work with Ploy’s agents across the app and Slack, including how they provide context, review work, and decide what runs on its own.\n\nTesting changes to pricing, packaging, and upgrade experiences that help customers get more out of Ploy as their needs grow.\n\nYou’ll partner closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market, using customer feedback and product data to guide what we build. You’ll stay close to what happens after launch, digging into activation, conversion, and retention to understand what’s working and what needs more iteration.\nBackgrounds we’re looking for\n5+ years of relevant experience as a product manager, founder, engineer, or in another role building software products.\n\nSharp technical acumen. You have experience with AI-powered products, agentic systems, and the tools used to evaluate and improve them. You understand how the underlying technology shapes product quality and the customer experience.\n\nStrong analytical skills. You can investigate product usage yourself and use data alongside customer feedback to make decisions.\n\nAI fluency in your own work. You use AI to investigate data, prototype ideas, and test assumptions, with the judgment to evaluate and improve the output.\n\nClear communication and strong working relationships. You explain your thinking, give useful feedback, and work well with customers, engineers, and designers.\n\nA track record of shipping impactful products. You move quickly, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and take ownership of the result.\n\nEven better if you have\nPrevious startup or high-growth company experience.\n\nExperience building AI products, agent workflows, or products with a strong self-serve motion.\n\nExperience in the web and marketing space.\n\nLocation\nSan Francisco, CA (our office is in the Financial District).
