This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, vendor coordination, and general facility upkeep to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for employees, customers, and visitors.\n\nCore Duties and Responsibilities\nBuilding Maintenance\nPerform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.\nComplete basic repairs involving doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, fixtures, and furnishings.\nReplace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, weather stripping, and other building components as needed.\nAssist with minor plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing leaks.\nAssist with basic electrical maintenance such as replacing switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures when qualified to do so.\nPerform painting, patching, and general carpentry work.\nSupport office moves, furniture assembly, and workspace setup activities.\nGrounds & Exterior Maintenance\nMaintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility exterior, parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances.\nRemove litter, debris, and other hazards from company property.\nInspect fencing, signage, exterior lighting, and other outdoor structures for repair needs.\nCoordinate repairs and upkeep of exterior areas to maintain a safe and professional appearance.\nPreventive Maintenance\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on building systems and equipment.\nConduct routine inspections of HVAC systems and replace filters as required.\nIdentify maintenance concerns and initiate corrective actions to prevent equipment or facility failures.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection logs.\nVendor and Contractor Coordination\nCoordinate and monitor work performed by external vendors, contractors, and service providers.\nSchedule facility services such as HVAC, pest control, cleaning, waste removal, or repair activities.\nEscort vendors and contractors as required and ensure compliance with site safety and security requirements.\nVerify completed work meets quality, safety, and operational expectations.\nMaintain service records, contractor documentation, and vendor contact information.\nCommunicate facility issues and project status updates to management.\nSafety and Compliance\nEnsure buildings and grounds comply with company safety standards and regulations.\nReport hazards, damage, and facility concerns promptly.\nFollow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.\nMaintain safe operation of tools, equipment, and maintenance vehicles.\nParticipate in emergency response activities and facility-related support as needed.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nReceive, organize, and transport maintenance supplies and materials.\nAssist with inventory management of maintenance parts and supplies.\nSupport facility improvement projects and workspace modifications.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED required; technical training, apprenticeship, or trade certification preferred.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, property maintenance, construction, or a related field.\nExperience coordinating vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers required.\nExperience managing preventative maintenance programs and work order systems preferred.\nExperience supporting commercial, manufacturing, industrial, or multi-building facilities preferred.\nStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, life safety, security, and general mechanical systems.\nWorking knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and facility asset management.\nAbility to assess facility issues, determine appropriate corrective actions, and coordinate repairs through internal resources or external vendors.\nUnderstanding of contractor management, vendor oversight, permit requirements, and safe work practices.\nAbility to review vendor proposals, quotes, and service recommendations and communicate findings to management.\nStrong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nProficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), work order systems, and Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees, contractors, suppliers, and leadership.\nAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions regarding facility maintenance priorities.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.\nStand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb ladders, and work at heights.\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.\nAbility to safely operate maintenance equipment and vehicles as required.\nPay Rate:\n$23.50 - $34.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:\nBase salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
