This person will focus on maintaining and repairing facilities equipment including lab and assembly equipment. This person will also complete modifications and improvements to the gas facility distribution, water and sewage systems. Finally, as a member of the Facilities Team, they may be asked to complete general maintenance tasks as required to maintain the buildings and grounds.\nCore Duties and Responsibilities\nWork as a member of the Facilities Team to complete specific assigned projects\nAssemble new and repair existing lab and production equipment\nSupport lab and facility services including basic plumbing and gas delivery systems\nInteract with vendors to select proper hardware needed to complete projects and tasks Support/maintain test facilities by performing routine periodic maintenance on lab and assembly equipment\nModify existing lab and assembly equipment as required to support fuel cell stack development Complete weekly inspections of facility and lab equipment as required\nMaintain spare part inventory for lab and assembly equipment and support systems\nMaintain and repair facility plumbing and lighting systems\nAssist with the fabrication of prototypes as required\nParticipate in energy conservation and sustainability project teams\nProvide coverage for other Facilities Department staff during illness and vacations\nParticipate in safety reviews and support all EH&S policies and directives\nLead effort to achieve 5S compliance throughout facility spaces\nOther duties as assigned, such as shipping and receiving\nEducation and Experience\nAssociate’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience\n3 years’ experience working with facility mechanical equipment and systems\nAbility to assembly tube assemblies using Swagelok products\nCustomer focused orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers\nWell organized, team-player who will take a “hands-on” approach to solve problems\nAbility to generate mechanical schematics using AutoCAD or Visio desired\nPay Rate:\n$16.50 - $23.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:\nBase salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
