The ideal candidate must possess a valid Class A CDL with 3 years of verifiable CMV experience. Hazmat and tanker endorsements will be required as a condition of employment. Candidates must meet all Department of Transportation requirements. The model candidate would exhibit a proven track record of success, teamwork spirit and positive attitude. Must be willing to drive with a partnered team driver.\nIn addition to standard team driving duties, this role also serves as a Driver Trainer and subject matter expert. During training assignments, the Driver Trainer splits from their regular team partner to operate directly with a trainee in a solo driver configuration, providing hands-on instruction and evaluation throughout the assigned route.\nIf you are applying as a team, you must apply separately and please note in your application the name of the driver applying with you.\nCore Duties and Responsibilities\nDrive with a paired team driver to transport and offload compressed gas and liquid hydrogen safely OTR\nOperate vehicle safely at all times with the highest regard to the care and well-being of any passengers\nComplete required documentation including bill of lading, customer delivery ticket, offload checklists, vehicle inspection reports, etc.\nComplete paid training on safe offloading including EHS, PPE, and FR procedures\nEnsure delivery vehicle(s) are maintained in safe working conditions and in compliance with all DOT standards\nStrictly adhere to all traffic laws and rules of the road applicable to commercial vehicles\nPrepare merchandise for shipment\nRepresent Plug Power professionally at all times and with all interactions\nSplit from standard team partner as needed to conduct new hire and periodic/recurrent driver training, operating directly with the trainee in a solo driver configuration\nDirectly witness each trainee's deliveries and complete the required compliance/witness sign-off form for every observed offload\nProvide real-time coaching and instruction to trainees on safe offloading procedures\nPerform other duties as assigned\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nA minimum of 3 years CMV experience required\nValid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements\nAbility to safely and effectively operate a manual transmission\nPrior experience in a driver training capacity, or a minimum of 3 years of cryogenic/hydrogen delivery experience, required\nWillingness and ability to travel as required to complete training assignments\nAdditional Requirements and Qualifications\nHave no preventable accidents in past 5 years and a clean Motor Vehicle Record\nExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations\nAbility to periodically lift and move 50-75 lbs.
